-Sapphire's POV-
I sat down on Aya's bed, looking over her shoulder as she sketched and made notes in her sketchbook. I reached over every so often to point things out, like messing up an eye or a hand. I hadn't brought my own sketchbook with, so as of now, I couldn't draw- which meant that watching someone else do it was the next best thing."What if you actually had cat ears like that?" I asked, pointing to the cat ears she had put on herself in the drawing. She has even given them texture; they looked soft, but not too soft, like a real cat's ears would.
"I'm not sure. If I was part cat, I can't say I would hate it, but I don't know if I would necessarily love it, either." Aya replied. She flipped to a fresh, blank page. "Hey, you wanna draw something?" She asked. I nodded, wordlessly taking the sketchbook and brainstorming ideas. When I eventually managed to think of one, I put pencil to paper and began to sketch.
The dusty red ground in my picture that had originally belonged to Mars quickly turned into luscious green grass from Earth. Trees shoved their way into the picture, towering high enough that I sketched them off the top of the paper. Flowers blossomed near the bottom of the page, butterflies and bees landing on them and hovering around them.
I hadn't realized how much I had missed Earth, but as I drew, I began to feel almost nauseous. I knew I should've stopped drawing then, but my hand didn't let me. Some part of me wanted to finish this picture. Birds sang from tree branches, their nests filled with eggs not far from them. Finally, I was done, and I handed the sketchbook back to Aya.
"I'll be right back." With that, I walked out of the room to go get a drink or something to soothe my sick stomach.
