-Aya's POV-
I really hoped I knew where I was going. I was beginning to feel like I had taken everyone on the wrong path, including myself. However, I would find the right path eventually, I had to. I couldn't let the others down, now, could I?
"Hey, how much longer?" I heard Amari ask behind me. She didn't sound annoyed with my pace, she simply sounded curious.
"It shouldn't be too much longer." I replied, flashing a confident smile. I was surprised at how much conviction I was showing, considering very little of that conviction actually existed. Well, maybe I could trick myself into being more confident- but honestly, I doubted that would work. Finally, we reached the camp.
"Uh, dude? This isn't our camp." Amari stated.
"Yeah," Carmen added, "This is Camp 120. We're looking for Camp 102." I looked at the number that labelled the camp. It did say 120. I had lead them all to the wrong camp! I called back the mental map I had used. Had I made a wrong turn somewhere?
That was when I noticed Amari and Carmen talking and pointing at something. I looked to see another camp in the distance.
"Is that one yours?" I asked. The two of them nodded.
"We think so." They both replied in unison. I smiled. Maybe I wasn't as bad of a guide as I had suspected I was. As the duo went ahead to their camp, Sapphire and I followed behind them, just in case it wasn't really their camp.
Sure enough, however, when we got there, the sisters seemed quite happy with what they had found. I walked over to see the label, and just as I had expected, it read 102 in bold, black numbers. At least they were back to their camps- now Sapphire and I just had to find a way back to ours.
