Where Are We Going? (Chapter 10)

-Sapphire's POV-
"So, where are we going?"  I asked as we headed out.  Amari and I turned to Carmen, waiting for her to respond.  When she didn't, Amari answered instead.

"We're looking for our camp.  We went exploring and we lost it."  Amari explained.

"Yeah."  Carmen confirmed.  "Tell us if you see anything that might be a human camp, alright?"

"Sure."  I replied.  I didn't quite understand how someone lost their own camp, considering the planet was mostly barren except for alien colonies and human camps.  I would think they would be able to see it fine if they found it again.

"Maybe we could ask any other people we come across?"  Amari suggested.

"Why would we do that?"  Carmen asked.  "We can find it ourselves."

"Well, someone might know where our camp is."  Amari made it sound like it was obvious.  Which, in a way, it kind of was.

"True..."  Carmen replied.  "Fine.  If we come across another camp, we'll ask."

"Now, the only problem is finding another camp."  I added.  Carmen and Amari both looked at me like they had forgotten that I was even there- in the midst of their conversation, and the fact that I hadn't been there before, they probably had forgotten I was there.

"Yeah..."  Amari said.

"Hey, what's your camp name, anyways?"  I questioned.  Amari and Carmen exchanged a look.

"Camp name?"  They both asked in unison.

"Your camp doesn't have a name...?"  This was gonna be harder than I thought.

"No, it doesn't.  Well, it didn't when we left, anyways."  Carmen explained.

"But our camp did have a number."  Amari added.

"Well, what was the number?"  I pressed.

"102."  Amari replied.

"Okay.  So, we're looking for Camp 102."  I clarified.  Amari and Carmen both nodded.

"Good.  Now we know what camp to ask any other people we run into about."  I stated.
