-Carmen's POV-
Amari followed me as I strode through the camp, searching for any sign of our parents.  After a while of not finding anything, Amari made a suggestion.

"Why don't we ask some of the other astronauts where our parents are?"  She asked.

"... That's not a bad idea."  I admitted, surprised I hadn't thought of it.  It was so simple it just might work!  So, I changed course and we were now on a new mission: get help from the astronauts to find our parents.

"Hey, uh, excuse us?"  Amari was the first one to speak when we encountered the first astronaut.  When the astronaut turned around, however, I decided to take over.

"Have you seen Mr. or Mrs. Perennial?"  I inquired.

"No, sorry."  The man's voice sounded muffled through his helmet.  "Maybe you could ask my wife.  She always manages to know everyone."  He motioned to a female astronaut.  I glanced at Amari to see she had already walked over to the woman.  I ran to catch up- at least I was getting the hang of Mars's gravity now, so I could actually run without tripping or falling flat on my face.

"Would you happen to know where Mr. and Mrs. Perennial are right now?"  Amari was asking.  The woman shook her head.

"I'm afraid not.  Are they your parents?"  She questioned.  Amari nodded.  "Ah.  Well, maybe we couldt ake care of you until your parents return?"  The woman suggested.  Amari and I exchanged a look that said nope.  We turned back to her and shook our heads.

"We're fine, but thanks for the offer."  Amari replied politely before moving on to the next astronaut.  After asking around just about the whole camp, I was losing hope.  That was when Amari asked one particular astronaut.
