-Amari's POV-
I stood in shock for a moment, disbelieving at what had just happened. My paralyzation was short, however, because Carmen snapped me out of it.
"Hey, what are you standing around for?" She asked. "Let's go, before they come back!"
"Yeah, good idea." I replied, coming out of my daze. I followed her as we walked in silence, trying to find our camp. Finally, the tension got the better of me, and I spoke.
"How do you think they knew where we were?" I asked.
"I dunno. Maybe they followed us." Carmen suggested.
"Because that's not creepy or anything." I pointed out. "... But then again, maybe they don't know that they're being creepy."
"That could be true." Carmen agreed. "Either that, or they just don't care if they're being creepy."
"That could also be true." I stated. Though, I really had the feeling they were just oblivious to the fact that they were being creepy in the first place. After that, we fell silent again, so I took advantage of the quiet to look around a bit.
My dark brown eyes scanned the horizon for any sign of a place where our camp might be set up. Or really, I was just looking for signs of where anyone's camp might be set up. There had been more humans launched into space besides the ones in our camp, except they built their camps elsewhere.
Maybe we could find some of those other human camps and stay there, or maybe we could find other astronauts who knew where our camp was located. If only it was that easy. There were probably several camps on the planet, how would we know which one was ours? It could be any of them! I tried to push the thought out of my mind and kept walking. We would get back to our camp, I knew we would.
