*Liam’s POV*
We had just landed in New York, and I was so excited. We were going to be here for one whole week. We only had one show and a couple signings so we had a bunch of days off. I hadn’t been here for such a long time, and I really wanted to just have fun.
“Hey Liam, do you want to go out for a walk?” I heard Louis ask from behind me. I turned away from my unpacking and nodded.
“Sure, let me just change.” I replied and walked into the bathroom to change into shorts and a t-shirt. It was pretty warm here.
Once I had changed I walked out and left the hotel room with all of the boys. Once we got past the big crowd of fans outside the hotel we were good. Only a couple people would come up and ask for pictures or autographs.
We had been walking for a couple minutes when we came across a Starbucks. All of the boys wanted a drink, but I decided to stay outside, I wasn’t that big on Starbucks.
As I was waiting for the boys to get their drinks a girl walked out from the coffee shop. She had beautiful brown hair and was carrying a small book bag. Something about her seemed very familiar, but I just decided that she was a fan that I had seen somewhere else.
Once she had walked across the street, she turned her head and I saw why I recognized her. It was Emily… my Emily.
Flashback
“Hi, I’m Emily.” She said quietly while reaching her hand out. I took it and shook it.
“I’m Liam.” I managed to say, continuing to stare at her. Oh wait, probably shouldn’t be staring.
“Well Liam, we better get started on this project. I wouldn’t want my first project at this school be a bad one.” She states opening the book on the table in front of us. It was her first day here at the high school and I was partnered up with her for the science project.
“Of course!” I reply, looking away from her eyes. They were the perfect shade of brown, and they were just… beautiful.
“Hello…” I see a hand wave in front of my face. I look up to see Emily holding back a laugh. “Were you zoning out or do you just really get into reading these science textbooks?” she asks, moving a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“Oh sorry, I just zoned out I guess.” I smiled, rubbing the back of my head.
As we started working on the project, I kept stealing glances of her. The way she smiled, and the way her eyes glistened in the sunlight that came in through the window just astounded me. She was amazing, and I was going to make her mine.
“Ok Liam, we are ready to go.” Harry walked out and patted me on the back, but I ignored them and started running. I tried running across the busy New York street, but a taxi started driving and almost hit me. I disregarded it and continued running across the street.
I saw the bright pink sweater Emily had been wearing and chased after it. As I ran I saw people staring and taking pictures of me; I could see the headlines now: “Liam Payne chasing after mystery girl” or “Liam runs through the streets of New York for a lady”. But I just kept running after her.
I finally caught up with her, and started approaching her when she just turned around and our eyes locked. I could see the shock and horror in her eyes. But why horror? What had I done to make her run away from me? Hadn’t I done everything right?
