*Liam’s POV*

Once on the plane to Mexico I decided what I needed to do. It did bother me that Emily had a daughter that wasn’t mine but that can’t get in the way of us. I knew I wanted her back from the minute I saw her again, I just need to figure out how. I can’t really make her fall in love with me when I’m in a different  country.

“Hey Liam, she asked if you wanted something to drink.” Louis says from the seat next to me. I turn to the flight attendant and tell her what I want to drink. Once she walks away I take a deep breath and start playing a game on my phone to keep me distracted from everything that is going on. “Hey, is everything ok?” Louis asks from next to me.

“Yeah, I guess.” I reply, looking over at Louis, and Harry who is on the other side of him, sleeping.

“Now Liam, I can’t help you unless you tell me what’s wrong.” Louis looks at me.

“Emily cheated on me and has a daughter, but she isn’t mine.” I blurt out, quiet enough for just Louis to hear.

“Ok, that’s not what I expected to hear.” Louis eyes widen as I tell him what happened in one short sentence. I continued talking to Louis on the subject but suddenly he had to go to the bathroom.

Of course he woke up Harry on his way out of the aisle.

“Are we there?’ Harry sat up quickly. I nodded and went back to my game on my phone. Thankfully, Harry didn’t ask me anything.

Once we were in our hotel in Mexico City I finally had a chance to call Emily. She was probably at work or school but if she was I decided to just leave a message.

After three rings I heard a click and a breath on the other line.

“Liam?” she asked, uncertainty in her voice. I just took a breath and opened my mouth.

“Hey Em, I just wanted to talk about, things.” I said, uncertain what to say. I wanted to tell her that I loved her, even if she did cheat on me and that I wanted her back. I also wanted to tell her that I wanted to be in Maya’s life. Over the couple days I spent with her I really grew to love her. But obviously I couldn’t say that right now.

“Ok. I just want to apologize again about how it came out and…” she started to explain but I cut her off.

“Emily, it’s ok. I’m willing to just look past this because I really miss you. And even if it’s just as friends, I want to get to know you… again.” I added to add a little humor to the conversation.

I heard her giggle on the other line and a smile crept its way onto my face. I missed hearing her laugh.

“Ok, I’d love that.” She finally answered and my smile grew.

“How about you take a couple days off and bring Maya over here so we can just hang out?” I asked, quickly realizing it was near impossible for her.

“Oh Liam, I would love to but I just don’t think I can afford that.” She said, embarrassment evident in her tone.

“Oh don’t even worry about that! You just worry about getting some time off; I will take care of the rest! And you can even bring Bri.” I offered, not wanting anything in the way of seeing Emily again.
