It was already eight o’clock when we got back from the beach, and we were all very tired, but Liam insisted that we go on our date that night. I think he had planned to take me out tonight, but I was willing to go anyway.

I had picked out a cute top with some high waisted shorts, since it was the June in Mexico. I threw my hair up into a pony tail and started heading towards the door.

“Bye baby, be good for Bri.” I gave Maya a quick kiss on the cheek, hugged Bri and headed outside into the hallway.

Once making my way down to the lobby I saw Liam standing near the elevator on his phone. I walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder.

“Ready?” I asked. He smiled, looking me up and down. “What?”

“Oh nothing, you just look beautiful.” He smiled even wider, and then turned to walk toward the garage where our car was waiting.

“Where are we going?” I asked as we slipped into the car and it started driving off to an unknown location.

“That is for me to know and for you to find out.” Liam chuckled and looked forward, placing his hand on my knee. I turned to him, my eyes wide, but he didn’t notice, so I just turned back to face the front and waited as the car rolled around the streets of Mexico.

I eventually felt the car come to a stop, and the driver looked back at Liam and I.

“We’re here.” He said and hopped out of the car, opening the door for both of us. Once Liam pulled me outside, it felt like my eyes were covered with a white sheet, because that’s all I saw. White flashes everywhere. I put my head down, and walked along the short path to the front door of the restaurant.

“Reservation for Payne.” Liam said quietly to the woman in front of the restaurant. She looked through her book and nodded, leading us to the back of the restaurant to a booth.

“So, what do you think?” Liam asked after I took a sip of my water.

“I love it, but I would’ve been fine with a small dinner. You didn’t have to go so fancy.” I replied. And when I heard no answer from him I looked up to see his eyes furrowed in frustration, “But it’s perfect. Don’t worry.”

“Alright, I just wanted to make it nice.” He smiled up at me, making me blush.

To be honest, I didn’t like big fancy dinners for dates. I fell in love with Liam when we didn’t have a lot of money and for dates we would go out ice skating or to McDonalds; and I was perfectly fine with that.

“Don’t worry, it is.” I smiled just to reassure him.
