After I had gotten ready for the concert, I got into the car Liam had sent for me, and the driver started to drive off. The venue was about twenty minutes away, so I would be there early.
I hummed along to the radio for most of the time until we got close to the venue and we had to stop. I looked out the window and saw hundreds, maybe even thousands of screaming girls pushing to get into the arena.
“Is it always like this?” I asked the driver laughing. He nodded and continued driving through the crowd. I looked out the window in awe; I had never seen anything like this.
I was looking out the window until I felt the car stop.
“We’re here. Just wait a second before one of the guys comes to get you.” The driver smiled at me and I nodded.
Not even a minute later someone knocked on my window, startling me at first, but then I saw that it was a big buff man, not a teenage girl trying to kill me. I opened the door slowly, thanking the driver again, and made my way through the small parking lot with the man by my side, blocking me from the fans behind the fence a few feet away.
He opened the door that led to the backstage and led me to a small open area.
“Just wait here.” He smiled at me and left in another direction. I held onto my bag tighter, and looked around the dark backstage area. All of a sudden al of the lights came on. “Alright, I’ll take you to Liam.” The man came back and led me through turns and loops until we came to a door.
He opened it for me and let me into a pretty big room, with clothes thrown all over the floor, and food wrappers all over. It was obviously the boys dressing room.
“Hey Em!” Liam smiled as he walked into the room. I smiled and gave him a big hug. “Come here I want to show you something.”
I nodded and followed him out of the room, where he led me back through the maze of the backstage until we made it to the main stage.
“Wow, this is amazing.” I said my eyes wide, staring at the thousands of empty seats that would soon be filled with screaming girls.
“I know. It’s still so crazy to see all of these seats. During the actual show we don’t see the whole arena because of the spotlights, but we hear all of them. It’s just so amazing.” He sighs and sits down on one of the stairs.
“How do you deal with it? I mean I would be going crazy.” I smiled and sat down next to him.
“Well, I have four best friends around me at all time; it’s a little hard to go crazy.” He replied.
“Liam!” I heard someone yell from backstage, “Where are you?” they asked running onto the stage. It was Niall.
“What?” Liam asked standing up and walking toward Niall. Niall whispered something into his ear, and Liam’s expression changed. He nodded and walked toward me.
“What’s wrong?’I asks standing up so I was standing right in front of Liam.
“We have a sound check in a couple minutes so we can’t be out here. And you have to wait in our dressing room until the concert starts, which is in two hours.” He says.
“It’s fine.” I smile genuinely and wave at him to tell him it’s alright.
“You can down there and watch the sound check though!” he said and I nodded in excitement. “Just go down there with Paul and stand right over there.” He pointed to the side of the front row of the floor. I nodded and walked backstage with Liam, where he led me to a man. Liam said something to him and pointed to me.
