I saw red, and that's all I saw. I clawed at the man in front of me, refusing to believe that it is my father. I felt arms wrap around me, and I was pulled back. I yelled profanities at the man, and gave him the finger.

How dare he call child protective services, and send me through hell and back, and my family and friends through all of it too. How dare he think that I wasn't a good mother to my daughter; given the fact that he was absent from helping me for three years, sucking the life out of me slowly.

I now realize that he has been slowly draining me for the past three years, not just physically draining my bank account, but also my mental state. I was so drained that I didn't even realize until right now.

It took flying half way across the world and confronting the man to realize what he has done to me. And I am brought back to the situation at hand.

I see the man and of all things, he is smirking at me. His bushy grey streaked eyebrows furrow in and the side of his lip is turned upward.

"Let me go!" I yell, not knowing who I was yelling at. But now that I feel it, I feel two men holding me back.

"Emily, calm down." Liam whispered and stroked my head but I just attempted to swat his hand away.

"That son of a bitch caused all of this! He did this! He did this to all of us!" I yelled while being pulled into the car. Luckily the two men holding me let go for a second to get into the car and I took my chance to run back to the man still standing in front of his house, watching the scene unfold.

"Listen here, if you come between me and my family again I swear I will..." I start by pointing my finger in his chest and staring him right in the eye and not flinching.

"No, I think you better listen. You ruined my life. It's all your fault I'm stuck back here in this hell hole and you better remember that. So if you think that a little person is more important that your father, then you are sadly mistaken." He chuckles and starts walking back into the house, but I took all of the strength I could manage and pushed him back so he was looking at me.

"No, if you think that you, a drunkie and a drug addict, are more important than my own daughter then you are sadly mistaken." I manage to spit out before Liam grabs me again and pulls me back to the car.

"Emily, what were you thinking?" Liam harshly whispers into my ear as he sits me down in the car and closes the door before I can jump out again.

"I was thinking that that man over there ruined my life, more than once." I seethe through my teeth.

"What do you mean? You were yelling that it was all his fault. What did he do?" he asks, his hand running over my thumb repeatedly to calm me.

"He's the one who called child protective services. He's the one who tried to report me." I sit back and rub my head.

"What?" Liam almost yells, looking back to try and see the man responsible, but we already turned the corner and there is no sight of him.

"Yeah, he just said that he was trying to help me with a problem. HE thought I didn't want Maya." I leaned forward and flicked a tear away from my cheek.

"He just wasn't here, he didn't know anything." Liam tries to comfort me, but it doesn't help, "You are an amazing mother and you have proved that time and time again."

"I just don't know how my life got so screwed up." I shook my head in disbelief.

"I will do everything to make sure that your life is anything but miserable from now on."

"Thank you." I say, and Liam pulls me into his side.

"Now let's talk about our date tonight." I hear Liam chuckle in my ear.
