When the last interview was finally over I took a sigh of relief and left for the hotel with Maya. The rest of the boys went out for dinner but I just didn’t want to. I wanted to go home and be with Emily and Maya.
The interviews took a little longer than I anticipated and I know that Emily will be worried, but she hasn’t called me. She must be sleeping.
We finally pulled up to the hotel and I followed Maya up to the room. I opened it and was met by Emily sitting on the couch, hair wet, with a magazine in her hand.
“Hey guys.” She smiled and walked over to us, giving Maya a hug and kiss and giving me an awkward hug. I was hoping for more, like a “Welcome home honey!” and a kiss. But I knew deep down that that could never happen.
“What did you do?” I sat down and reached for the bowl of chips placed on the coffee table.
“Nothing really, but what did you do?” she asked and I was a little scared of telling her that I announced to the whole world that Maya was in fact my daughter.
“Just some interviews, really boring…” I sat back and pulled Maya closer to me.
“Oh really?” she asked and I feel like she knew something.
“Yeah…” I looked away, too scared to meet Emily’s gaze.
“Ok.” Emily said and got up, walking over to the kitchen. I heard the water turn on and Emily humming a little louder. I leaned my head back onto the edge of the sofa and slowly fell asleep.
*Emily’s POV*
I saw the article. The article with Maya and Liam, saying she was his daughter. And that he also said I wasn’t his girlfriend. I wasn’t mad that he didn’t tell me, I actually found it really funny. I loved that he told everyone the truth, although everyone already pretty much knew that she was his.
After I finished the dishes in the kitchen, which didn’t take very long, I walked back into the living room where I saw Maya watching TV and Liam sleeping on the sofa.
I picked up Maya and changed her into a cute outfit, and changed myself into leggings and a sweater. I then walked back into the living room and started to wake Liam.
“Liam, wake up.” I whispered and nudged him lightly. He only stirred and I leaned down and hit his arm.
“Oh my god!” he yelled and sat up. Maya and I were both laughing, almost on the floor, and Liam looked at us, wide eyed.
“Sorry, you just wouldn’t wake up, and I was thinking we could go out to dinner.” I told Liam as he rubbed his eyes.
“Oh…” Liam got up, “Sure, let me just get changed and we can go.”
He walked over to his room and closed the door. While we were waiting for Liam to be ready I pulled Maya onto my lap and turned her toward me. She really did look like Liam. Almost an exact copy; apart from her nose. That was mine.
But she had the same brown eyes, and the same dark brown hair, with a pair of light pink lips to top it all off. She really was the cutest baby I had ever seen. And I might’ve been a little biased because she was my daughter, but she was amazingly cute.
We only waited a couple more minutes until Liam walked out in a nice shirt and dress slacks. He slipped on some shoes and we were out the door.
