The car ride to Coach Kim's house is strange & quiet. The radio is playing faintly while Kim hums along to the song; both Katie & I are sitting in the backseat on our phones.

K: Wait, do you even know why Kim wants you staying with her?
A: I don't know to be honest. It's honestly kind of weird. Like I know she cares about me, but it was so sudden don't you think?
K: Def, but I mean a mini vacay is always great! But I still can't believe Liv got kicked out!
A: True, being away from Hayley & all the craziness at home will be great. As for the Liv situation, it's still so unreal with the way Mrs. Jen acted!
K: I know! I mean we've all seen her drunk, but this was a whole different level. It was kind of scary actually.
A: For real! Man, I hope we're eating something good! I'm starving!

Katie looks & reads my text, she chuckles & lightly hits my arm. "When aren't you hungry?" she said in a playful manner. We giggle for a while, it's true though, I'm always hungry. Kim adjusts her rear view mirror & points it toward us.

"You guys wanna roll the windows & feel the wind on your face? It's my favorite thing to do after a stressful day!"

We all nod our heads in agreement. Kim rolls down the windows & the wind is now hitting our skin. She turns the music up & beings singing along out loud, Katie is laughing as the wind makes her hair blow crazily. The breeze is so relaxing & calming. I stick my hand out of the window & make waves in the wind. Time feels frozen. In this moment, this very moment, life is good. Everything is moving in slow motion. I look to my right & see Katie laughing as she records Kim singing. Kim continues to sing as if no one is paying attention. & me, what about me? I remember there's good that comes from the bad. Everything is alright for a moment.

We make it to the house; it's located right out of the city before you enter the woods. It's a house you'd see in a movie. It's a beautiful two-story white bricked house. Their front door is one of those crazy extravagant ones you see in Better Homes magazine. I almost forgot her husband Mr. Dan works at Johns Hopkins. Their yard & house was everything I ever wished to have, it was like a fairytale.

We enter the house & it's just as magical inside as it was outside. Kim & Dan give me & Katie a tour around the house. It's kind of like a giant maze in here, I always knew she was living the dream. Mr. Dan begins talking about the ins & outs of the house he worked so hard to build for Mrs. Kim.

"It's got 6 rooms. The master bedroom, the "bestie sleepover room" that's Mare's & Kimmy's room, a room we converted into a workout area & 3 guest bedrooms."

I'm in awe. I look over at Kim, her smile that once was on her face soon vanished away.

"We've got 5 bathrooms, not including the basement restroom. Um, what else? Well I don't know, you girls can go exploring! Make yourselves at home!"

Katie & I jump for joy. This place is a dream! I'm totally cool with staying here for a while, I could get used to this! We chest bump each other & pick up our overnight bags & my suitcase. Dan shows us to the room we're staying in, it's purple. There's a king sized bed equipped with a 42 inch flat screen tv & a fully stocked mini-fridge, plus our own personal restroom! I'm in heaven.

Katie runs around the room screaming & looking at everything. She runs to the bathroom & sees a bathtub with those jet things, she yells out, "gotta leave Annie! I'm gonna bathe in this bad boy! I'm never coming out of the bathtub!" I laugh & shut the door to the restroom & lay down on the bed. I take a moment to realize what's just happened, life has become crazy & I never would've pictured myself here 8 hours ago.
