"Marcus I'm sorry to do this to you but, I gotta go back to Houston. If this wasn't important then I wouldn't be leaving. I hope you understand, I'll try to be back before you leave for Atlanta but if your gone when I'm done with this I.......... I really want to see you again, so just tell me when and where and I'll be there. I...... I gotta go." I sat back trying to analyze everything Khalil had said into my voicemail, he seemed genuinely upset over the fact that he had to leave so abruptly. But the voicemail really didn't explain much. I knew right then I was stupid to let myself fall back into the trap that was Khalil so I decided to go back home. I sat on the plane looking out the window trying hard not to think about Khalil Cunningham but it was just my luck that the person sitting next to me had on a Texans jersey with Khalil's number on it. Fuck my life.......
I got back to Atlanta and drove straight to my job I need to let Julius know I'd be cutting my vacation short. I walked into the building towards my office and the first thing I noticed was my desk. Well it looked like my desk except none of my things were there, I walked into Julius's office and didn't see him, he must be in the back room. I walked towards the door and heard moaning come from the room. I felt my stomach turn as I opened the door and saw Julius with his pants around his ankles and his dick in some light skinned dude. I didn't know what to do or say so I just cleared my throat and they both jumped up scared. The light skinned dude scrambled around trying to put his clothes on and Julius fumbled with his clothes.
"Marcus I....... I didn't know you'd be back this soon." Julius said nervously.
"Well Mr. Banks I decided to cut my trip short. This must be your new assistant, damn I was gone what four days and you guy seem to be getting along nicely." I said smiling politely.
"Terrence excuse us for a minute." Julius said looking at the light skinned dude. The dude finish fixing his clothes and started walking out the room. "I told him to lock the door." Julius said fixing his tie.
"So I'm just going to get straight to the point, am I being fired or what because I'll happily get all my stuff and leave." I said crossing my arms, Julius looked extremely hurt by this.
"Fired no why would you think that?" He asked.
"I don't know Julius, just last week you were telling me how much you wanted to be with me and today your fucking some fake ass Lil Bow Wow, last week my desk had all my stuff on it and today it looks like somewhere Barbie would work so what's going on Julius?" I asked pissed.
"Marcus I'm sorry you don't work for me anymore." Julius said sadly. I couldn't believe this shit, I started to walk out but Julius stopped me. "Marcus waited I only meant that they just opened a new firm, they are only picking a hand full of people to work there and your name was one of the top ones they selected, Tonya too. I was going to tell you when you got back but......" Julius started to say but I cut him off.
"But you were too busy fucking my replacement. Now you see why I could never be in a relationship with you Julius you can't keep your dick in your pants." I said still pissed.
"Marcus I just told you were being promoted and you're worried about Terrence?" Julius said trying to make me smile. "Look Mar' a part of me wants you to stay and never let you leave but I'm not selfish enough to hold you back and as for Terrence well I'm sorry but I was horny and he has a fat ass." Julius said truthfully. I sat there and thought about it me and Julius weren't in a relationship so I couldn't be too mad about him fucking whatshisname, but at the same time we were working towards one. After today though I don't think I be able to look at him the same again, maybe I needed to move on.
"So when do I start this new job?" I asked.
"Well there still working on a few little details but you would be starting in a month if you want the job. You do want the job right, because I have no problem firing Terrence right now and letting you come back to work for me." Julius said.
