It was our last day here and Devin had pretty much locked himself away in his room and he wouldn't talk to me or Cam but I had a pretty good idea what was bothering him, or rather who.... it had to be Nico. If I had to honest with myself I was tired of the whole situation wit Nico I was tired of that nigga stringing my brother along and breaking his heart over and over again, but then I had to sit back and think what would I do if I was in his shoes? What would I do if the person I loved most in this world broke my heart? I sat next to the fireplace and letting all these thoughts run through my head when I heard someone walking down the stairs I looked back and saw it was Cam, he sat on the couch next to me and rubbed his hands across his face.
"So he's still not coming down?" I asked Cam. I watched my younger brother take a deep breath and shake his head, for the last three days me and Cam tired everything to get Devin to get over Nico.
"Nah he won't even open the door, I wish I knew what happened but he won't talk to me either. I'm worried about him Khalil." Cam said sadly. I sat back trying to think of ways I could help my brother get over this heartache when it hit me like a ton of bricks.
"Cam listen closely, I have an idea it's pretty fucked up but I need your help." I said smiling slightly. I told Cam my plan and we began to put my plan into motion. Me and Cam left Devin alone for two hours, and then I walk to his door and popped the lock with a butter knife. Devin didn't even look up as I walked into the room. He looked so damn pitiful, it hurt my heart but what I was doing would hopefully help him. I walked over to Devin and snatched his little ass off the bed and wrapped him in my arms.
"YO KHALIL LET ME GO!" Devin yelled as I tossed him on my shoulder and carried him downstairs, through the backdoor that Cam held open, and walked down to the pier with Cam right behind us.
"Little brother I'm only doing this because I love you." I said before tossing him into the water. I know it was fucked up but it was the only way I could think of to get him to snap out of this daze he was in.
"I'MA FUCK YOU UP KHALIL!" Devin yelled trying to get out of the lake, he was almost out when I pushed him back in the water. "I SWEAR TO GOD WHEN I GET OUT I'MA BEAT YOUR ASS!!!" Devin yelled once again trying to get out and once again I pushed him back in the water. I could see the anger building and knew he was close to the inevitable explosion.
"Yeah that's right get mad pussy." I said pushing him back in the water one more time. He looked up at me and his eyes were red with anger, I backed up a little and let him out the water and as soon as he was on the pier he took off his soaking beater and threw it. I smiled because this was the reaction I wanted, I took my shirt off and tossed it to Cam who looked on with a amused look on his face. I walked back to solid ground and Devin wasted no time swinging on me, I dipped his first couple of swings but he got me with a pretty good shot to the chin. I looked at Devin and his eyes got big he looked a little scared but then he recovered and swung again, I dipped all his swings and smacked him in the face a few times. I wasn't trying to hurt him but I wanted him to take all his anger out on me.
"Why are you fuckin with me Khalil?" Devin asked as tears fell from his eyes, but that didn't stop him from swinging on me again and again. I grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back.
"Because you're my brother when you hurt I hurt, when Cam's hurt I'm hurt. I know I'm not there for ya'll like I should be but that's all about to stop. I love ya'll so if I have to take a few punches to the face to stop ya'll from doing something stupid or if I have to go on a national ass kicking tour for ya'll then I'll do it over and over." I said letting his arm go, Devin turned around and look like he wanted to swing on me again but then he hugged me, Cam walked over and I pulled him into our hug.
