Homecoming Pt. 1

Needless to say that night I went to bed with a smile on my face,that kiss was all I could think about and I was still on cloud nine. After the kiss finally ended I asked Lorenzo what was the real reason behind him wanting to wait a year before giving me a chance and he told me it wasn't just for me to enjoy college, he wanted to spend that time to get to know me better. But still a year was a long ass time, but I could wait because I was really feeling him so for now I could use the time to get to know him so if we did get in a relationship we'd have a foundation of friendship to build on.

Two days after the kiss, things were pretty normal Devin still stay in his room all day and night, Cam pretty much did all the cooking and cleaning and I stay in the theater and gym, this morning I was laying in bed still thinking about Lorenzo when I noticed was the smell of food in the air, which didn't really surprise me because Cam was always cooking so when I got downstairs and saw Devin I was shocked. Not because he was cooking but because he actually looked like he was in a good mood. I sat at the table as Devin nodded and smiled like he just hit the lotto.

"Damn Dev if I didn't know any better I would've sworn you got some ass last night." I said laughing, but the look on his face told a different story he almost looked..... guilty about something. "Did you and Nico make up? That was a lot quicker than I thought." I said laughing. I heard someone coming down the stairs, I figured it was came so I picked up an apple and waited until he walked in the kitchen to throw it. I watched the apple soar past the persons head and the dude looked shocked then pissed.

"WHAT THE FUCK?! Devin who is this nigga?" The dude asked, I was kinda embarrassed but at the same time I was still trying to figure out who dude was. 

"Legacy you play too much, my bad Will. Legacy this is Will, Will this is Legacy he's practically family so you can ignore him, sit down I'm almost done cooking." Devin said smiling at the dude Will. I looked at Will he was a cute brown skinned dude with a rugged looked to him, I could see the appeal he had to Devin but he wasn't my type.

"My bad I thought you were Cam, so Will how do you two know each other?" I asked. Devin shot me a look pretty much telling me stop talking, I smiled and turned my attention back to Will.

"We go to school together. But I've friends Devin since he's moved down here." Will said with lust in his eyes as he stared at Devin. "Me him and Nico used to be real close." Will said looking at me, then the pieces of the puzzle started to fit together.

"That's cool..... Dev can I talk to you real quick outside." I said seriously. Devin asked Will to watch the food and he followed me out back. "Devin you can't be serious, you're fucking with one of Nico's friends?" I asked.

"Man Legacy chill out, Nico and Will never got along in the first place and besides me and Will are just friends." Devin said brushing me off.

"Dev I know what you're doing, you're fucking with the one person that'll piss Nico off the most. I get that you're still mad at him and you want to hurt him as much as he hurt you, but this is a dangerous game you are playing and at the end of all this the one who is going to get hurt the most is you because you might lose Nico for good." I said seriously.

"Fuck Nico, he made his choice and chose Iman. So what am I supposed to do wait around feeling sorry for myself?" Devin shot back.

"Do you know how childish you sound? Devin I get it Nico broke your heart, but have you ever looked at things from his position? And to answer your question about waiting around while you were fucking with ol' girl what was Nico supposed to do wait around for you to make up your mind about who you wanted to be with? I saw what happened at the mall he wanted to talk to you but you brushed him off, all you probably saw was Iman put his arm around Nico then you decided fuck him, but you didn't see Nico push his arm off. I think you should at least talk to Nico." I said looking at Devin.

"I don't have to listen to this shyt Legacy you don't know what's going on with me and Nico. If he cared anything about me then he wouldn't have been with Iman in the first place." Devin said.

"Devin I'm just giving you my opinion on the matter and I still feel like you need to talk to Nico and figure everything out. Like you said in the house we're family so I'm going to treat you like I treat all my other family members I'm going to give you the truth whether or not you want to hear it." I said putting my hand on his shoulder before walking in the house. When I got back inside Cam was asking Will the same questions he asked all his teenage sister's boyfriends and I suppressed a smile because Will looked really uncomfortable. Cam saw me and walked over to me just as Devin walked in, Cam pulled me back outside.

"I don't like that nigga." Cam said bluntly.

"I thought I was the only one. I feel like he does like Devin but I think Devin is using him to get back at Nico." I said.

"We need to get Devin and Nico together so they can talk and at least be friends again." Cam said.

"Yeah we do whenever Nico was with us it felt like our group was complete this dude seems...... I don't know how to describe it." I said.

"Look I got a plan, we have two weeks before we go back to Miami and won't feel right leaving without those two talking again." Cam said, he told me his plan and we began to put things in motion.

After Will left me and Cam told Devin that we were going to go get some food to make dinner, Devin didn't say anything he just sat on the couch flipping through the channels. We got to the store and I was the first to notice Nico, he looked at us as we approached with a sad look on his face.

"What's up why did ya'll want to meet here." He asked seriously.

"Do you miss my brother?" Cam asked with hesitating. Nico nodded his head sadly. "Good because he misses you too, so here what you're going to do we're going to grab a few things and you'll follow us back to the house. Me and Legacy are going sneak you into the basement and  to get Devin to go down there, then we'll lock him in and won't let him out until ya'll talk." Cam said smiling.

"Devin is going to be pissed and you can't force us to get back together it'll seem fake." Nico said.

"We never said ya'll had to get back together, we just want you two talk and Devin can be as mad as he wants he's my little brother it's my job to piss him off. So what do you say do you want to talk to him our not?" Cam said. Nico thought about it for a second.

"Alright I'll do it, but only because I need to tell Devin my side of the story." Nico said quietly. We quickly got everything we needed and headed back to Khalil's house, we told Nico to park down the street and meet us in the back of the house. After we were sure he was out back I called Devin to help us with the bags, he came out and Cam ran inside.

"Where's he going?" Devin asked watching Cam.

"To the bathroom. Come on and help I'm hungry as fuck and Cam makes some bomb ass lasagna." I said smiling. We brought all the bags inside and I told Devin we needed some liquor from the basement, he looked at me skeptically but walked to the basement and started walking down the stairs once we were sure he was all the way down he hurried up and locked the door and waited for the inevitable shouting.
