Today was the day of the cookout and Khalil decided to put all of us to work, Cam was cleaning out the pool,  Legacy was cleaning the house, Enzo went to the liquor store, Marcus and Khalil were cooking, and I had to cut the grass.... which I was pissed about. But other than that I was in a strangely good mood, I couldn't wait to see Antonio, but at the same time I couldn't wait to see Nico which confused the hell outta me. I finished cutting the grass and walked inside where Khalil and Marcus were laid up on the couch kissing. I shook my head and tried to sneak past them knowing Khalil would probably have some other menial task for me to do, I was almost outta dodge when Khalil stopped me.

"Fuck." I mumbled as I turned around to see what he wanted now.

"Ayy I need you to run to the store and grab some ice." Khalil said without turning around.

"Why can't Enzo do it?" I asked heated. Khalil still didn't turn around as Marcus whispered something in his ear.

"Because Enzo had to drive home to get some clothes, so hurry up and take Cam and Legacy with you." Khalil said, I walked over to him to get the money and noticed Marcus's hand in Khalil's shorts.

"Man ya'll freaky as fuck." I said turning my head.

"Whatever lil bro just make sure ya'll stay gone until I tell ya'll to come back, here's some money now kick rocks for about two hours." Khalil said standing up, handing me and stack of money as well as pulling Marcus with him as they disappeared upstairs. I shook my head and went to get Legacy and Cam, when we left.

"So did you invite anymore of your exes Devin?" Legacy said laughing, I turned to look at him and he just kept laughing.

"Fuck you.... but nah I just invited Antonio, Nico, and Will." I said turning my attention back to the road. Cam didn't say anything but I could tell he was pissed.

"That's what's up, I might try to get at Will tonight." Legacy said still laughing.

"Yeah right dude you're too focused on getting with Enzo." I said.

"I know but Enzo ain't trying to do nothing and I got needs, besides me and Enzo ain't together so I don't think he'll mind." Legacy said, I didn't even bother responding this is not a conversation I wanted to have with Legacy.

"Ya'll trying to go to the mall first? Khalil told us not to come back until he called us so I'm pretty sure we got some time to burn?" I asked them and once again Cam didn't respond he just nodded and continued to ignore me.

"Yeah that's cool, just remember we got something to do at three." Legacy reminded me. I nodded but didn't say anything. We pulled up to the mall and walked inside. Legacy went off to do his on thing leaving me with Cam.

"You alight bro?" I asked as we walked into Footlocker.

"Why'd you invite Will? It's bad enough you invited Nico's bitch ass now I gotta deal with two niggas I don't like, seriously Devin do you think about the shyt you do before you do it?" Cam asked heated.

"Look me and Will had our problems but that's my boy, I thought you and Will were cool?" I asked.

"Just because I tolerate his ass doesn't mean I like him. Great another fucking person I don't fucking like popping up today." Cam said looking behind me, I turned around just as Staci walked into the store pushing a baby stroller. Fuck just what I needed this bitch showing up, I tried to sneak out the store but she saw me and started walking over to us.

"Hey Devin, hey Devin's brother, I know ya'll weren't trying to sneak outta here without speaking. Like damn Devin I thought after I dumped up we could at least be friends." Staci said smirking. I started to say something but some dude walked next to her and put his arm around her, I recognized the dude from school he was one of Keith's friends.

"If I remember correctly I dumped you because you couldn't keep your fucking legs closed and judging by the fact that you're standing here with one of your baby daddy's friends it's good to know some things don't change. But it's good to see you Staci and umm whatever your name is make sure you strap up with her no telling who she's fucking whenever your not around." I said walking away from them. We went to the food court and waited for Legacy, we sat there about an hour when Khalil called and said we could come back.

"Look I'm ready to get outta here." Cam said.

"What's up Cam you've been in a bad mood all day and I know it's not about Will or Nico so what's up?" I asked.

"It's Liberty man I've been calling her all day and she won't answer my calls, she won't respond to my text, I'm worried about her. I told Legacy about it and he doesn't seem to care." Cam said just as Legacy walked up with two bags in his hand.

"Ya'll ain't getting nothing?" He asked and Cam just walked away."What's wrong with him?" Legacy asked.

"Your sister...... he's worried about her not answering his calls." I said as we followed Cam back to the car. "Plus the fact that we just saw that bitch Staci."

"He'll be alright..... you ready to go get this ice for Khalil and we can drop Cam off." Legacy said, I nodded my head and we ran to the store to get the ice. We pulled up to the house and told Cam to take the ice inside.

"Ya'll ain't helping?" He asked irritated.

"Nah bro we gotta handle something but we'll be back." Legacy as Cam got out the car pissed. "He'll thank us later, let's go before I have to strangle this chick she's been blowing my phone up the last ten minutes." Legacy said laughing.

We pulled up to the airport and I realized I had no idea who I was looking for, I mean I had seen pictures of Liberty but pictures could be deceitful, we drove around looking when Legacy finally pointed her out. I pulled up next to her and I could tell she was pissed but at the same time I saw a glimmer of a smile on her face. I watched as Legacy got out the car and she punched him in the chest, I had to admit she was cute, she was thick but not sloppy and she was the same complexion as Legacy, I got out the car to help Legacy with her bags and she punched me in the arm.

"What the fuck was that for?" I asked confused. "Man Legacy get you sister I just met her and she's already hitting me."

"Whatever you're practically family now anyways and that was for making me get on a damn airplane. Now give me a hug." She said hugging me. "Whatever he's told you about me is probably a lie and whatever Camden has told you about me is probably true." She said pointing at Legacy.

"I didn't even say anything, let's get out here Cam's probably at the house pissed we left him there with Khalil and Marcus." Legacy said reaching for the front passenger door but Liberty pushed him and got in the front.

"You no damn well I don't ride in the back." She said, I shook my head and got in the car to head home.

The whole ride I tried not to be pissed as Liberty changed the music from Kendrick to Beyonce and I knew I had to get her ass out my car soon, plus Antonio just texted and told me he was at the house. We pulled up and there were a few cars parked in front of the house and I instantly noticed Antonio's Nissan. Cam must've been waiting for us because I hadn't even stopped the car when he came storming out the house. Cam walked up to my car but as soon as his eyes landed on Liberty his whole demeanor changed and for the first time I actually seen Cam smile, most of the time he smirked but now I saw all of his teeth. He ran to the passenger door and pulled her out the car. I didn't stay to watch the show because I had my own shyt to deal with, I walked over to Antonio's car and knocked on the window.

"Why didn't you go inside?" I asked as he got out the car and hugged me.

"Because I was waiting on you." Antonio said and I really wanted to kiss him in that moment.

"Well look I gotta go shower real quick, but let's go inside it's too damn hot to be sitting out here." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him inside. "Alright just stay here, mingle a little bit, I'm sure my brothers will keep you busy." I said kissing him on the cheek and running upstairs. I showered and got dressed as quickly as possible and ran back downstairs. When I got back Antonio was talking to Marcus and I started to walk towards him when someone knocked on the door, I opened it and saw Nico and Will standing there which had me confused.

"What's up Dev." Will said quietly. I looked at both of them and noticed how close they were standing to each other, then everything started to make sense Will was the dude Nico was in a relationship with.
