Homecoming Pt. 1

Back to school just what the fuck I needed, something to keep me from cussing Antonio out. We had been back a week and I still hadn't found the courage to confront him yet, he just doesn't know how close I came to cheating on him again. But I knew that two wrongs didn't make a right and I should wait until I heard his side of the story first before I over reacted and fucked up my relationship. Antonio was making it extremely difficult though every time I tried to talk to him he was either busy or on his way to class, I was going crazy. Here I was tripping over Antonio when I could be spending time with my brothers who were probably out having a good time, while I sitting in my dorm miserable.... fuck that I said pulling on a hoodie, I grabbed my keys and was out my door. I pulled up to Antonio apartment, the first thing I noticed was Antonio's car so I knew his ass was here I took the stairs to at a time and started to bang on his door but before my hand touch the door I stopped and counted to ten.... don't jump to conclusions.... just calm down Devin, I told myself before knocking quietly. Antonio answered the door and smiled.

"Why do you look like you just got back from a pick-up game?" Antonio said looking at my hoodie/ basketball shorts combo. I looked in his eyes and he seemed to my the same person but I'd only know the truth if I asked.

"Nah I was coming to check on my boyfriend who I've only seen twice since he got back. What's up you don't got love for me anymore?" I asked smiling.

"You know I do Devin I've just been busy lately." Antonio said looking into my eyes.

"I get that Ant but you could at least call and let me know you're okay....... look I feel stupid standing in your doorway so can I come in or are you busy?" I asked calmly.

"Yeah sure come in." Antonio said moving out the way to let me inside, I looked around trying to find signs that another dude has been here but everything looked exactly the same as it did the last time I was here.

"How was your break did you have fun in Maine with your parents?" I asked sitting on the couch..... this was the moment of truth was he finally going to tell the truth or was he going to keep up with his lies.

"It was good....... I can't do this anymore. Devin I wasn't in Maine with my parents." Antonio said sitting next to me.

"I know I ran into your parent in the mall last week, they said you told them you were spending time with me for Thanksgiving. So if you weren't with your parents and you weren't with me where were you Ant?" I asked.

"I went to Memphis." He said quietly.

"And is there a reason why you lied to me and your parents?" I asked Antonio was quiet. God this was like pulling teeth. " Ant who did you go to Memphis to see?" I asked bracing myself.

"I went to see my ex Stephen." Antonio said avoiding eye contact. I felt myself starting to explode. Devin bring it down..... Antonio didn't trip about you being friends Nico, it is possible to still be friends with your ex without it being sexual, I thought to myself.

"Okay I'm going to ask you this once please, please don't lie to me Ant. Is there anything that happened that I need to know about tell me now?" I asked.

"Devin nothing happened, Steph wanted to catch up and I didn't know how you'd react to me going to see my ex. But nothing happened I promise." Antonio said looking in my eyes.

"Thank you for being honest with me Ant and since were being honest with each other I almost cheated on you again, after I saw your parents I was so pissed that you lied to me that I went to see my ex Staci... but when I got to her house I couldn't bring myself to get out the car because I knew I had fucked up with you once I never wanted to put you through that again, so I'm sorry for making you feel that you had to run to your ex." I said grabbing his hand. "Ant I I know I'm not perfect and I've fucked up a lot, but when I'm with you I feel like I'm becoming a better person a better man."

"I forgive you Devin and I'm sorry too, let's just put this all behind us." Antonio said smiling, I shook my head and smiled. "Look I'm about to get in the shower you wanna join me?" Antonio said pulling his shirt off.

"Yeah give me a second I gotta call and check on Cam." I said smiling, Antonio walked away and once I heard the bathroom door close I grabbed him phone and started going through it. Fucked up I know but I'm a man and something wasn't sitting right with me. I got to his text and found the dude Steph's name and started reading the first few were nothing but Steph trying to get Antonio to try to come see him and eventually Antonio agreeing.

STEPH - R U SURE YOUR NEW DUDE CARES THAT UR COMING 2 SEE ME 2MORROW?

ANT - WHAT HE DOESN'T NO WON'T HURT HIM, BESIDES HE STILL TALKS TO HIS EX AND CAN TALK TO MINE.

I paused did I really want to keep reading? But curiosity got the best of me and I continued. Nothing, nothing, bullshyt nothing I started to give up until I got to the end.

ANT - THIS WEEKND WAS FUN, WE SHULD DO IT AGAIN.

STEPH - ANT THIS WHOLE WEEKND I WAS TRYING 2 FIND A WAY 2 TELL U THE TRUTH BUT NOW THAT UR GONE I FEEL LIKE I MISSED MY CHANCE. THIS WEEKND WAS THE BEST I'VE HAD SINCE WE BROKE UP, JUST BEING AROUND U BROUGHT UP A LOT OF OLD FEELING THAT I THOUGHT I HAD SUPPRESSED. BUT WHEN WE KISSED I FELT THAT SPARK AGAIN, I JUST NEED 2 KNOW IF U FELT IT 2.

ANT - I FELT IT THE SPARK 2.... BUT I LOVE DEVIN.

STEPH - FUCK THAT NIGGA ANT, I'M NOT GOIN 2 GIVE UP WITHOUT A FIGHT, I'M MORE DETERMINED THEN EVER 2 GET U BACK. I NO I MESSED IN THE PAST JUST GIVE ME ANOTHER SHOT.....

ANT - STEPH LET ME THINK ABOUT IT OK?

STEPH - AIGHT ANT..... I LOVE U

I got up and ran to the bathroom door and started to snatch it open but for the second time today I froze, I was beyond pissed and I knew if I went in there it would probably lead to a fight. I turned around and walked out the house without saying a word to Ant. I walked around for an hour trying to clear my head, did I really have the right to be mad at Ant? I mean I did cheat on him with my ex, four times could I really be pissed that he kissed his ex once time? Relationship were not supposed to be this stressful.... I started to turn the corner and walked straight into someone who was running and fell over.

"Damn my bad." The person said trying to help me off the ground. "Devin?" The person said, once my vision came back into focus I realized I was staring at....

"Will?" I said smiling. Damn I realized I hadn't seen him since him and Nico broke up and even though we went to the same school it was like we lived on different continents. "Damn it's been a while how have you been?" I asked and for some reason I couldn't stop smiling.

"You know me I've been chillin, staying out the way. After Nico broke up with me I decided I need to do my own thing for a while." Will said smiling, damn I forgot how good he looked when he smiled. "What about you?"

"Same just going to class hanging out, chillin with my dude...." I said before trailing off.

"I know that look let me guess you and your dude are having problems?" Will said laughing, I nodded my head and smiled. "Devin I know we haven't really been close but let me give you some friendly advice.... whatever's going on you should try to work it out. I know how your anger is and hell I've been the other side of it, but you already lost one good dude because you didn't know how to forgive people for their past mistakes, just some food for thought." Will said.

"You may be right.... but look it was good seeing you bro, we should chill sometime I kinda hanging out with you, you were always good for a laugh." I said still smiling.

"Aight bet my number is still the same hit me up whenever..... just leave your crazy as brother in the dorms." Will said laughing. I agreed, we said our goodbyes and Will took off running again, I didn't realize I was staring until Will hit turned the corner two blocks. I shook my head and continued walking..... maybe Will was right I needed to fix whatever was going on with relationship I thought as found myself walking back to Antonio's apartment.
