I remember when I was young my mom used to tell us stories about her grandmother, who was a native Haitian and was believed to have 'the sight' she would tell us that people would come from all over to get their fortune told by my great-grandmother. Honestly I didn't believe a word of it it was a good story but even at a young age I knew seeing the future was complete BS...... up until now. I mean I wasn't having That's So Raven moments but they were more like feelings, feelings that something bad was about to happen. Last night when I went to get Khalil's gift from my house the whole ride I couldn't shake the feeling in the pit of my stomach that I should talk to Khalil about cancelling this New Year's Eve party, there was just too much Roseline's letter, Tion's warning about Vic, and Julius coming back....... it was starting to become too much. Ever since me and Khalil got together it's been one thing after the other and I was starting to question was it really worth the drama? But now wasn't the time to think about that, I put on a brave face as everyone gave out gifts, I looked at Khalil and he was staring at me intently like he could feel my anxiety. The day went by without any trouble except my mom being an old hoe.
"You alright baby? You seemed kinda quiet today." Khalil said as we stood in the living room cleaning up.
"I'm fine Khalil..... I was just hoping we could spend New Years together alone I don't really feel like being around a bunch of drunk people, I just wanna be with you." I said looking into his eyes.
"Mar if you don't wanna go to the party you don't have to, Cam's not going and neither is Liberty, Carmen, your mom or Tonya you can stay here with them, but I have to go baby my name is on this so I at least have to show up. You know I'd much rather spend the New Year's with you Marcus and I really want you there. Hold on a second....." Khalil said getting up a few seconds later he came back holding a small box. "I just realized I never gave you your gift." He said smiling as he had me the box.
"Well you already got a ring on my finger so I wonder that this could be." I said laughing. I opened the box and my mouth dropped, then I punched Khalil in the chest as he laughed.
"I thought you could us that while I'm on the road." He said pulling out the dildo, that was an exact replica of his dick.
"You are beyond childish Khalil, I said taking it from him and smacking him with it." I tried not to laugh but had to admit it was kinda funny. "I don't even know if I want to give you your gift now." I said pouting.
"You know I'm just fucking with you babe." He said kissing me before pulling out his phone. "Go ahead and bring it in." He said quickly in the phone. I turned around just as Enzo walked through the door holding a beautiful Huskie puppy.
"Merry Christmas." Enzo said smiling as he let the puppy down and it ran straight to me. "I'm about to go to bed, I gotta pick Liberty and Legacy up from the airport in the morning. Goodnight." Enzo said walking up the stairs.
"Marcus I racked my brain like crazy trying to figure out what to give you, you've already given me the greatest gift ever by agreeing to marry me so I thought long and hard about what to give you and then I remember something you said our junior year of high school, you said 'as soon as I graduate college and get my own place and find a man who loves me and I know I'm going to spend the rest of my life with I'm going to do is get a dog.... a Huskie.' Well you've already graduated college, you have your own place, and you definitely have a man who you're going to spend the rest of your life with I knew one thing was missing." Khalil said smiling. The dog tried to jump in my lap, I picked it up and it started licking my face.
"I can't believe you remembered that....." I said smiling at the dog.
"Baby I remember everything about you, all your hopes, all your dreams, and all your fantasies. I don't know if you wanna keep the dog here or at your place but whatever you decide I'll make sure the dog is taken care of." Khalil said kissing me.
