LEGACY

We walked into the ballroom and I was speechless, when the say all black they meant that shyt literally everything was black from wall to wall, I was impressed because it looked amazing, Enzo grabbed my hand and directed me to the V.I.P area that they had to the side for us and we all sat down. I was star struck I've never been around so many actors, athletes, I even saw a few politicians, Lorenzo, Zyshaun and Khalil walked around greeting people leaving me, Devin and Marcus alone I couldn't help but notice the two empty seats that were reserved for Young Mon and his guest. I turned my attention back to the dance floor where there were girls dressed in damn near nothing trying to to get the attention of any famous person they saw. The music blared through the speakers and I was half tempted to go out there but I notice the looks on Marcus and Devin's faces, Marcus looked anxious he kept looking around like he was expecting the boogie man to show up, while Devin kept looking at his phone irritated. After I few more minutes I couldn't take sitting here anymore I grabbed Devin and pulled him to the dance floor and found two girls who instantly started dancing with us, Lorenzo told me to have a good time so that's what I was going to do. The first hour went by without any real problems Devin disappeared for a few minutes and came back with Antonio but he didn't look happy about it.

"Ya'll trying to go back to the table?" I yelled over the music, Devin nodded and walked away from me and Antonio without saying anything. We followed behind them and he stopped short and I almost ran into him and saw the look on his face. "Damn Dev you look like seen a ghost....." I said looking in front of him and saw that dude Young Mon or whatever sitting at the table with Marcus and Nico. Antonio also noticed Nico and smacked his teeth thankfully I was the only one who heard him.

"Antonio let's go get some drinks." Marcus said jumping up and grabbing Antonio's arm. "Make sure he doesn't do anything crazy." Marcus whispered in my ear and I nodded my head turning my attention back to the train wreck in front of me.

"Nico?" Devin said. "Ramone?" Devin said looking at Young Mon, Nico nodded his head and Devin clenched his fist, I watched his facial expression go from anger to hurt, back to anger, then to absolute devastation. Devin say anything else he just nodded his head and turned around to walk away quickly.

'Devin....." Nico called after him. But I stopped him and chased Devin down, when I found him he was in the bathroom splashing water in his face.

"Devin you alright bro?" I asked walking up behind him.

"No...... fuck no Legacy. I shoulda seen the connection sooner Young Mon is the nigga Nico's been fucking with, how could I be so so stupid." Devin said punching the wall.

"Dev bro why does it matter if Nico and that dude are fucking around?" I asked looking at him.

"It matters because I still love Nico, I don't think I ever stopped." Devin said quietly. I kinda figured that even when he was with Antonio whenever Devin would see Nico his eyes would light up and he wouldn't stop staring at him..... I mean yeah Antonio made Devin calmer and a little more mature but Nico made Devin whole.

"Listen I know I'm not the best person to be giving relationship advice, especially since I'm in my first real relationship. But if I were you I'd go tell Nico how I felt the worst he could say is he doesn't feel the same about you." I said.

"That would kill me...." Devin said. "But you're right I gotta let him know." Devin sad rushing out the bathroom, I stood by the sink and smiled I hoped everything worked out for him. I started to leave when I heard voices coming towards the bathroom I started to ignore them until I heard Khalil's name I back into the stall hid there when three people walked in I put my feet up on the seat and listened closely.
