Homecoming Pt. 1

With Christmas right around the corner the campus was pretty much deserted which was fine by me, Cam and Legacy were back in Miami so I was flying solo. I walked around not really doing anything in particular. These last few weeks being single were hard at first but the longer it went on the better it got, it really felt good being able to just do me, no checking my phone every other minute, no staying up late wondering what anyone was doing, just worrying about Devin. I made my way to the basketball court and noticed Will dribbling down the court, I walked over and watched him play... damn I forgot how good he was he saw me staring and nodded his head and smiled before running over to me.

"What's up bro?" He said dapping me up.

"Nothing walking around bored, you look good out there." I said smiling. I looked around staring at the group of dudes, there was a tall ass white dude, a brown skinned dude, a Latino looking dude, an a Asian dude.

"You wanna play? We need another player." Will said pulling me on to the court. I started to object but thought fuck it, I pulled my hoodie and and threw it to the bleachers. "Aight you'll be on a team with Blaze (the brown skinned dude) and Rex (the white dude) against me, Shoo Shoo (the Latino), and Yin (the Asian)." Will said pointing to everyone, I nodded to my team and we went to make a game plan.

"So I guess they call you Rex because you're so tall." I said looking up at the 6'6 giant white dude.

"Nah they call him Rex because his teeth are fucked up." The dude brown skinned dude Blaze said laughing. "So you look pretty fast so you can guard Yin, but keep your eyes on him that little China-man is quick." Blaze said. "I'll get Will, Rex you guard Shoo Shoo." Blaze said I nodded my head and we started the game. Three hours later I was sweating and my sides were hurting from laughing so hard at Blaze and his infamous jokes, I had only met the dude today and even I wasn't spared from his jokes. We finished the game and were all sitting on the bleacher talking.

"Ya'll better be lucky I twisted my ankle or we would've won." Will said rubbing his foot. "So where ya'll wanna go tonight I'm trying to hit up I'm trying to go to Kingdom." Will said looking around, Yin spit something in rapid fire Japanese and Blaze rolled his eyes.

"Yin I told you before none of us here speaks Nintendo, try English." Blaze said and I tried hard not to laugh.

"Fuck..... you." Yin said in perfect English. "What I said was I'm trying to The Elephant Room, you racist prick. Don't get mad at me because I choose to speak the language of my people." Yin said calmly.

"I'm not racist.... I talk shyt to everybody, but Devin you coming too right?" Blaze asked looking at me. I thought about it for a second I didn't have anything planned later.

"Yeah I'm coming, I just got one thing to take care of but I'm definitely coming." I said smiling. After everybody left I went back to my dorms and changed as I was walking out I ran into Nico. "What's up?" I said smiling.

"What are you still doing here I figured you would've went back to Houston." Nico said smiling.

"Nah I decided to give Khalil and Marcus some alone time, where you going all dressed up?" I asked curiously, I had to admit to myself he looked good.

"My friend Ramone is taking me out to get something to eat, where are you going?" Nico said eyeing my sweater and jean combo.

" I have piano lesson everyday at five...... ever since me and Antonio decided to take a break I've had a lot of free time on my hands I decided what the hell, I wanted to try something new." I said slightly embarrassed. "You know you're the only person I've told that too..... so Ramone what happened to Iman?" I asked looking into his eyes, Nico started to say something but was cut off by the sounds of someone in a red Lamborghini honked the horn.

"Well that's my ride, it was good seeing you Devin maybe one day I can hear you play and we can discuss what happened to Iman." Nico said running towards the car, I shook my head and smiled as I walked to my car.

After my lessons I went back to the dorms to shower and change for the third time today, I finished getting ready just as there was a knock on the door. I opened and Will, Blaze and Rex all walked in my room, they looked at me and I could tell they were about to start hating, I mean not too many dudes could pull off a sweater vest. After clowning me for about ten minutes we were out the door, we all piled into Will's Honda and took off for the club. Once we got there we met up with Yin and Shoo Shoo, we found a table while Rex and Shoo Shoo went to get us all shots.

"So Devin... your boy Will has been kinda tight lipped about you so what's your story?" Blaze asked, I looked at will gratefully and then turned my attention back to Blaze.

"I was born in Columbus, OH then moved to Washington then moved down here. That's my story." I said. He looked like he wanted to press the issue but Rex and Shoo Shoo walked over to the table with our shots.

"Drink up pussies, expect you two ya'll are DD's tonight." Shoo Shoo said pointing at Will and Yin. We all started taking shots and eventually we all got pulled to the dance floor, as I was dancing on some random girl something or rather someone caught my eye. Antonio stood in the middle of the floor dancing on some brown skinned dude, this was my first time seeing him since we decided to split and a part of me wanted to go over there and say something but I told myself not to, it wasn't my place and I didn't want to look like the jealous ex. Our eyes met and I raised my glass to him letting him know I was good, the song ended and I went back to the table not too long after Antonio's friend pulled him over to my table. I could tell Antonio was nervous but the dude smile in my face like he knew me.

"What's up I'm Steph, Ant tells me ya'll used to date. I thought it would be a good idea to come over here and introduce myself." Steph said smiling as he stuck his hand out.

"It's nice to meet you I'm Devin." I said shaking his hand. "So how are ya'll enjoying the night so far?" I asked.

"It's cool we're probably about to head back to Ant's place. You here by yourself?" Steph asked staring at me.

"Nah I'm out with some friends, they're somewhere around here. But it was nice meeting you maybe we could hang out sometime?" I said grabbing another glass as I tried to ignore that fact that the Steph had his arm around Antonio's waist but he was trying to make it really obvious, like he was trying to make me jealous.

"Yeah that sounds like a plan.... well have fun." Antonio said staring into my eyes and brushing off Steph's arm, I knew he wanted to say more but stop himself as they walked away. So that's Steph..... he looks like a buster, I thought to myself. The childish part of me wanted to do everything in my power to make Antonio jealous but I didn't, I came out to have a good time so that's exactly what I was going to do. By the end of the night I could barely walk it was so bad that Will had to help me to my room but I had fun, which was all that mattered.

"Tonight wasss fun." I slurred as Will placed me on the bed.

"I can tell next time we go out your the DD though I'm trying to get like you. But I'll hit you up in the morning we can find something to do." Will said turning to walk out.

"Hold up Will......" I said sitting up to look at him. "Why don't you stay here tonight?" I asked, Will looked at me and started laughing.

"Yeah that's not happening, I'll call you later bro take your drunk ass to sleep." Will said walking out the room shaking his head. I fell back on my bed and smiled, tonight was a good night now all I wanted to do was drift off into a peaceful slumber. Naturally just as I started to fall asleep my phone rang.

"Hello." I said keeping my eyes closed.

"You looked good tonight." Antonio said quietly making my eyes fly open and me sit up quicker than I should've because I was hit with a wave nausea.

"Hold on a second Ant." I said getting up and running to the bathroom, after a few minutes of trying to throw up my stomach I went back into the room and grabbed my phone. "Ant?" I asked but the phone was silent letting me know he hung up. I laid back down and tried to fall asleep hopefully tonight I could get some sleep without dreaming about Ant...... or Nico.
