chapter 5: finding the killer

The very next day I am awaken by the blinding bright rays of the sun. Since I could tell it was early I decide not to knock on LaNisha's door because they were probably still a sleep. While I am sitting on their porch thinking to myself I hear the door open from behind me, so I instantly turn around and see Ms. Johnson. When Ms. Johnson sees me covered in blood she couldn't help but ask what's wrong. That's when I look at her and say "oh I'm sorry ma'am, I know it's early and I know LaNisha is probably sleep, go pick up your things when I and lets me inside.

As we are walking in the house Ms. Johnson tells me to sit down in the kitchen as she gets me a glass of water. "Now tell me what's wrong LoJarvis. Do I need to call your mother?" Ms. Johnson asked me with a concerned look upon her face. When she asked me that everything got quiet for a moment, but after about two minutes I could no longer hold my composer and I automatically drop to my knees in tears screaming "she's gone... She's gone!" too the top of my lungs. Once I do that Ms. Johnson gets on floor with me and gives me a big hug as she tells me that everything will be ok.

While Ms. Johnson is comforting me on the floor LaNisha walks in and asked what was going on. That's when we both get up off the floor and Ms. Johnson tells me to sit down while she goes and talks to LaNisha. As she walks to the back to talk to her I chill in the front and wipe the tears from my eyes as I drink the water that Ms. Johnson gave me.

While I am chilling in the kitchen with my head on the table LaNisha and her mom finally come back to the front. "Ok LoJarvis you can stay here as long as you would like. We can go pick up your things when I get back from work. Until then just chill here, get cleaned up, and rest for a while." After Ms. Johnson says that she grabs her things for work and leaves. Once she left LaNisha grabs my hand and pulls me toward her. As I put my hands around her waist she wipes the tears away from my face and gives me a kiss. After we kiss she takes me by the hand and walks me to her room in the back. As we are walking into her room she lays a pair of my basketball shorts and a wife beater I left over there a while ago. After she laid the clothes down she helps me take off my bloody clothes. Once I get fully dressed she tells me to lie down and chill for a minute.

As we are lying down in her bed I turn toward her and put my arms around her as I lay my head on her chest and listen to her heart beat. While we are laying there in complete silence we gradually fall asleep, but not for long because after about twenty minutes the phone rings. "Hello... Yeah he here hold on." once she said that LaNisha tells me J-Rock and L.T is on the phone and hands it to me. After twenty minutes go by of us just talking about what happen we decide to go to B.D with the situation. I mean if I really want to get the guy that got my mom's I have to go to the guy that knows about everything that goes on in the streets. After coming to that conclusion m homies tell me that they will be coming by in a good fifteen minutes because they have to pick DeRay up.

Since it was going to take them a while to come by I decide to just chill with my baby in her room. "So babe how are you feeling?" LaNisha asked me while she rubs on my head. When she asked that I get quiet for a minute, but then I go ahead and tell her that I won't be ok until the dude that got my mom is six feet deep! After I say that a tear roles down my cheek as I close my eyes to get a quick nap in.

As time rolls by there was finally a knock at the door, so we both get up to answer it. "Hey L.J how you doing homie?" they all begin to ask me as LaNisha invites them in. no of course I go ahead and tell them the same thing I told LaNisha and I know they all feel what I'm saying because they all begin to nod their heads. Once they finish nodding their heads I tell LaNisha to chill here until I get back because I didn't want her to get involved. After I tell her that we all walk out the door.

On our way to go talk to B.D it's completely silent. No one is talking because no one knows what to say, but after walking a good five blocks we finally see the man that will solve all of my problems. As we begin to approach him, he looks at me and says "what's up little man? You ok?" Now since I knew deep down inside that I wasn't I go ahead and shake my head no and that's when he asked me what does he need to do to change that. After I think for a few seconds with my head hung low I finally pick it back up and say "Mr. Diamond I want you to find the dudes that killed my mom's! Once they are dealt with me and my niggas here are all yours!"

After I said that he looks me in the eyes and says "I already took care of that kid... Come with me." When he tells us to go with him we all gather into his limo with no hesitation so that he could show us what he is talking about. While we are driving down the street we end up parking at this abandoned warehouse. Once B.D's driver stops the limo he tells us to follow him. As we are following him, he leads us to a dark room in the back of the warehouse. When B.D's body guard flips on the lights we see four dudes with their hands and feet tied behind their back as they are sitting on their knees.

When I see these four dudes I notice two of their faces and that's when I turn to L.T and ask him if those were the guys that were with DaSean when he asked me to join his clique, while starring them all in the eyes. After LaTae thinks for a minute he finally notices them and gradually nods his head. Once he nods his head yes I turn toward B.D and say "them niggas right there on ends are from Hoover Deuce and they killed my mom's cause I aint want to join their clique." After I say that B.D pulls out his custom made gold nine and says "well son you know what to do."

As he hands me the gun I look at him and then the boys who killed my mom, after I look at them I look at my boys and they are all nodding their heads telling me to pull the trigger. While they are telling me to pull the trigger B.D takes me by the shoulders and walks me toward them. "Now LoJarvis don't you want to get even with these guys? I mean damn they took your mother, the woman that gave birth to you away from you. They obviously don't give a damn about you, so how bout you show them how much you care for them. Show them the pain you have been going through ever since your mother was taken from you. Show them you don't give a damn about them or anything about them!" B.D says while he is holding my hand to help me point the gun directly at them.

While I am holding this gun in my hands I see a tear fall down one of their faces and when I see that I decide to ask B.D which one was the shooter. Once he said it was the guy on the left end which was one of the dudes with DaSean I say "how bout this... How bout I just kill him cause he's the one I really want anyway?" When B.D gave me the ok I grip the gun a little tighter. As I was getting ready to pull the trigger something came over me and I couldn't do it anymore, so I put my arm down and hold my head down. Once I did that the shooter looks at me and says "man you is a punk ass nigga cause if that were me I would have been done marked yo bitch ass with no questions asked! I don't know why DaSean ever wanted you in the clique... For all care yo mama deserved to get shot!" Once he said that I didn't even care anymore I just instantly pick up my hand and pull the trigger without any hesitation.

After I do that I feel a whole lot of weight and stress being lifted off of my shoulders especially when I see that body drop. Once the body dropped B.D tells me that my job is over and that he will get back at me soon. After he said that my friends and I begin to walk out the warehouse. On our way out the door we hear three more gun shots and from that point on we already knew what had happened, but we don't even trip on it because they deserved it.
