Chained By The Gang

chapter 14: getting back on track

While I am sitting in my cell with a busted lip and blood dripping from my eye, all I can think about is getting out of her. As time passes a police officer comes to my cell and tells me to follow him. While I am walking behind him he takes me to his office and tells me to sit down. When he tells me to sit in his office I can't help but wonder what this is all about. At least until a man with a wet rag comes in and tells me to clean myself up.

While I am whipping blood from my face the officer pulls out some paper and says "LoJarvis I am detective Joe Miller. I know you don't know me, but I know a lot about you. For instance I know your mother and father both died due to gang related activity and it looks like you are going down the same path as well! That is if you don't straighten up your act." After he say that I look at him and say "look her man... You don't know shit about me and all I'm trying to do out here is survive because I damn sure can't depend on no Atlanta Police Department to feed me and put clothes on my back. So if you not letting me go you need to send me back to my cell!"

After I say that he looks at me tapping his fingers on the desk. Once he stops he says "look here boy... You are on your way to having life in prison or no life at all if you don't chill out, but hey it's all good because when that day comes I will be there to either put the cuffs on you or put you in that black body bag and I won't even feel bad doing it! But on that note young man you are free!" When he says I am free to go I ran out of there as quick as possible. On my way out Nine was on his way in, but I don't pay any attention to him. As soon as the people at the front desk give me my things I go ahead and start to walk to LaNisha's house.

After walking around for a good hour I finally arrive at her house, so I call her on my cell phone and tell her to come outside. When she comes outside she gives me a big hug and kiss. After we kiss I tell her how much I love her and want to be back with her. That's when she looks at me and says "baby if we get back together how I know you won't hit me again? I mean I love you but I'm not about to have the man I love beating on me!" When she said that I shake my head yes because I knew I had to change my ways that's when I look at her and say "baby I promise you I will never and I mean never hit you again. You are the only female I want and need, all these other hoes mean nothing to me." After I say that she looks me in the eyes and sees that everything I am saying is coming straight from the heart and she can't help but take me back.

While we are chilling outside I get a call on my cell and when I pick it up its B.D on the other end telling me to meet him and the gang at the courtyard on 33rd street for a quick meeting. Once I get off the phone with him I ask LaNisha if she would like to come along with me. Since she says yes we go ahead and get in the car and go over there.

As we are arriving at the courtyard I automatically see my nigga J-Rock and L.T standing with their girls NaTonya and Tina. Once I park the car LaNisha and I go and stand next to them. After standing there for a good fifteen minutes B.D and his bodyguard finally arrive along with Nine and his little crew. As they begin to walk B.D and his bodyguard went to the front of the gang, while Nine and his crew stand on the opposite side of me and my crew. While B.D is stand in front of us he looks at all of us one by one. After he looks us all in the eye he shakes his head in disappointment and says "this makes no sense... We are supposed to be the most powerful gang in Atlanta, but we can't even come together as a family. The Black Diamonds are supposed to be a family, but we can't come together for one minute! And you know what it's pissing me the hell off! That's I called this meeting to order because I want all the beefing and I mean all the beefing to stop right here right now! We are about to start a new project and that project is to take over all of Atlanta. I want to own this whole city! But we can't do that unless we become a family. So everything changes now and I mean it!"

Once B.D is through talking everyone knew he was serious. When he finally called the meeting to a close he told my clique and Nines clique to stay behind. As everyone begins to leave, we walk toward B.D to see what he wants. As we approach him he stares at every last one of us in the eyes and shakes his head. "What is wrong with you two?" he says with anger in his voice. "You two should be the ones leading the group, but instead yall fight all the got damn time! Just when I thought everything was going good between yall... yall get arrested and thrown in jail! This makes no sense. I am going to really need you too especially to come together... Because the next time yall get thrown in there I'm going to leave yall in there!"

After he gave us our little personal speech he leaves and gets into his limo. When he drives off I look at Nine as he looks at me. "Look there is no reason for us to be beefing like this my nigga... So let's squash this shit now and move on..." After I say that I stick my hand out for a hand shake. As I am waiting for him to give me dap or something, he decides to push my hand away and say "just cause he wants us to be cool doesn't mean it's gone happen... But one thing I will do is distant myself from yo ass and cool it a little bit, but just because I do that doesn't mean we homies... because we not!" After he said that he stares me up and down as he walks away with his clique following him from behind.
