chapter 28: the truth comes out (9 months later)

It's October 12, 1998 10:30 in the morning I find out as I am waking up by the sound of the man on my radio. Since LaNisha is scheduled to deliver at any moment now, I make sure she is feeling okay. After I do that I get dressed and head over to L.T's house, but before I walk out the house I make sure I grab my cell just in case LaNisha needs me for anything.

While I am on the road driving to L.T's house I call him and let him know I am around the corner. When I pull up into his driveway he is already on the porch waiting for me. "What it do my nigga... You ready to work on this wedding stuff?" I say as I am getting out of my car. When he answers yes I go ahead and let him knowJ-Rock won't be coming because Mesha is in the hospital. After all was said and done we walked inside and pulled out the plans. While we are discussing the wedding for a good twenty minutes I get a phone call on my cell. When I take out my phone I see it's LaTae's girl calling, so I hand him the phone and tell him who it is. "Hey baby why you calling on L.J's phone?" he says after answering the phone. About two seconds later he hangs up the phone with his jaw dropped and eyes big as day. "Nigga yo girl is having the baby we gotta go now!" he yells.

When he said that we grabbed the keys off the table and rushed out to the car. Once we get in the car we speed off to the hospital as fast as possible. When we arrive I am panicing because I don't know what to do, so I run up to the front desk and with very little breath I say "where is my fiancé? Where is LaNisha Johnson?" That's when the nurse behind the desk says "calm down sir, she is just fine come with me." As I follow her down the hall we come up to room 213. When I walk inside I see that she has already had the baby, so I go up to her give her a kiss and look at my new born baby boy. After I give her a kiss she asks me if I would like to hold him. Since I said yes she hands him to me and while I am holding him I ask what's his name and that's when she tells me Tae'Sean Prince Willson. Then we smile at each other and give each other a hug.

While we are chilling like a family the nurse walks in and says "I hope you don't mind having company." Once we say its fine, that's when she roles in Mesha holding her baby and J-Rock. As J-Rock walked in he glared at me as if I were his worse enemy, so when the nurse leaves I hand the baby back to LaNisha. After I hand her the baby there was an akward silence that was soon broken when LaNisha decides to ask Mesha her babies name. That's when my heart dropped because I had a bad feeling about that question. While my heart is pounding waiting on the answer Mesha looks at my girl and says LoJarvis Tyrellis Willson Jr!

After she said that my baby get pissed off and calls the nurse to come get the babies. Once the nurse comes in and gets them, LaNisha says "why in the hell did you name your kid after my nigga?" After she asked that Mesha says "because yo nigga and I had sex while me and my nigga were separated and he came over my house because yall was fighting! Which makes him my baby daddy!"When she said that LaNisha instantly looked at me and I was completely speechless. Then Mesha decides to make shit worse and say "oh did I say something out of line? Well guess what I don't care cause I never liked you anyway!"

In the midst of all the drama going on my girl begins to get madder and madder. That's when she says "get this trick out my damn room!" Of course she didn't say trick, but I bet you can guess what she really said. Right after she said that one word it triggered something off in Mesha's head and instantly pissed her off, so she decides to reply "hold up... Hold up... Did you just say what I think you said? If so you are strongly mistaken because the only trick in here is you mama!"

After talking her mess LaNisha doesn't even reply all she does is roles her eyes, and that's when Mesha gets out of her bed and walks toward LaNisha. As she approaches LaNisha's bed, LaNisha looks up at her with a smerk on her face. Next thing you know Mesha raises her hand and slaps my baby dead in the face. That's when things begin to escalate and LaNisha punches Mesha and gets out of bed. As she steps onto the floor Mesha catches her by surprise and punches her dead in the mouth, causing her lip to start bleeding.

When I realize my girl is bleeding I hop over to the other side and grab Mesha, so she wouldn't try to jump my girl while she is down. As soon as I grab Mesha next thing I know J-Rock comes and punches me and tells me not to put my hands on his sister. After he hits me I am in total shock because I never thought that it would go this far, so I regain my composer and punch him back. After I hit him he falls back and hits the floor and then I look at him for a second and say to hell with it and hit him again in the jaw. When I hit him he is instantly in a daze so I get up and pull LaNisha off of Mesha and put her back in her bed. After I help her in the bed Mesha tries to run up and hit her again, but I push her before she could do anything. After I do that J-Rock instantly got up and pushes me on the wall and begins to punch me repeatedly. After a few shots to the face I begin to notice blood dripping from my face and begin to fight back until I see him shed a little blood.

While we are fighting things begin to get real serious, so LaNisha and Mesha try their hardest to break us up, but since they can't LaNisha runs out into the lobby to find LaTae. When she runs down the hall she runs into him and tells him what's going on. Once she tells him what's going on LaTae jets toward the room while NaTonya walks LaNisha back. When LaTae gets to the room he instantly tries to break it up, but somehow some way he gets involved in the drama. But it doesn't last for long though because about two or three minutes later B.D walks in the room. When he walks in and sees all the fighting going on, he can't believe his eyes. So he closes the door and yell "stop this shit right now and sit down!" After he says that with a lot of anger in his voice we do exactly that with no hesitation.

While we are sitting there B.D tells NaTonya to go get some paper towels, so that we could wipe our faces. After we wipe our faces B.D looks at us and says "why are you two fighting? Yall have known one another since middle school and now this! What's going on?" After B.D asked that J-Rock instantly replies "L.J got my damn sister pregnant!" After he said that LaNisha slaps me so hard I can hardly feel the left side of my face. Then she looks at me and says "damn L.J that's why our relationship is so messed up now! You know what L.J I love you to death, but real talk bump all this cheating and lying shit cause fact of the matter is I don't need you! Just how you can get a girl I can get a nigga that will do me right, so it's over cause I can't take it no more!" When I hear her say that it's over I explode "hell naw bump that me and you are still together and we are getting married! And J-Rock weather we are cool or not you still my nigga and what happen with me and yo sister was a mistake and I'm sorry, but no matter what I will handle my business and take care of my son!" After I say what I have to say Mesha jumps up and says "bump all of this bullshit I'm not taking care of no baby. I'm bout to move with my boyfriend anyway, so this baby is your problem not mine!"

After she said that I look at LaNisha because I know this is a big upset to her and that's when she looks back at me and says "look L.J like I said before I do love you and you know that and I know you have a responsibility to take care of, so I have no choice but to accept that. But all of the lies and cheating must stop now!" After she says that I give her a hug and tell her I love her and then B.D calls J-Rock and I outside to talk. As we are standing against the wall, we are in total silence because we know B.D is about to chew us out! "Now I'm going to try my hardest not to get mad, but why are yall acting like this?...You know what don't even answer that question because I don't wanna hear it! Now either you hug and be cool or walk away from each other and never talk again! Just know this yall already fought so it's squashed, and plus yall can't let any females break what yall have up!"

Once B.D was through talking J-Rock looks at me and I look back at him. While we are just standing there staring at one anther we come to realize all of this is stupid, so we go ahead and hug and become boys again. After we hug we walk back in the room and when Mesha sees we are back cool she get upset and says "Jerome I know got damn well you not back cool with this nigga?" When he says yes that makes her even madder so she says "that's exactly why I'm moving out cause yo punk ass can't handle shit! I can't wait to get out of here cause I know my nigga will do anything for me!" After she says that J-Rock gets mad as well and says "yeah you know what I can't wait till you leave either because you slowly getting on my last nerve! And once you get out my house don't call my phone for shit cause whatever you need you can ask yo nigga for! You not my problem no more!" When J-Rock said that Mesha gets out of her bed and walks out the room without saying a word.
