chapter 10: the apology

(4 weeks later)

As I am sitting on the couch watching television my phone begins to ring. When I realize its Tamika I go ahead and pick it up. "Hey baby what's good?" she says as I answer the phone, but since I don't really want to talk to her I just hang up the phone. When I hang up she calls right back in a matter of seconds and when I answer it this time she asked me why did I hang up in her face like that. That's when I respond "look here little mama the sex was ok while it lasted but now it's over and I'm done with yo tired ass, so please lose my number!" After I say that I hang up the phone and turn it off.

After I break up with Tamika B.D walks in my room sits on my bed and says "you know it's been four weeks since you have spoken a word to LaNisha or any of your friends' right?" After he says that I don't even respond that's when he puts his arm around my shoulders and say "look son I'm not your daddy so I'm going to tell you what to do and what not to do but you gone have to talk to yo peoples one day or another, so why not today?" After he said that he gives me a hug and walks out the door. As the door close behind him I begin to think about what he said. That's when I go ahead and get dressed and head over there to talk. When I finish get dressed I walk outside and decide to head over J-Rock's house.

As I am arriving at J-Rock's house I see him, NaTonya, Tina, L.T, and LaNisha sitting on the porch talking. When I pull up into the driveway I get nervous all of a sudden, but I decide to go ahead and get out of the car. When I get out of the car I can feel their eyes looking at my every move as I approach them. "What up yall?" I say as I come face to face with them. After I say that everyone but LaNisha tells me hey. That's when I look at LaNisha and try my hardest to tell her how sorry I am. Once I realize she's not going to say anything, I go ahead and walk back to the car. As I am getting in I crank up the engine and out of the corner of m eye I see LaNisha walking up to the car, so I roll down the window and say "what's up baby girl?" As I am staring into her eyes without any words being said all she does is wraps her arms around my neck and begins to cry. At that moment and time her actions said it all and before I knew it we were an item again.

While we are hugging Tamika see us from across the street and decides to come over with two of her friends. As they began to approach us, our people got up out of their seats and began to walk toward us as well. "What the hell is going on here?" Tamika asked as she approached us. That's when LaNisha looks at her and says "look boo. Me and my baby are officially back together so you can step now!" when LaNisha said that you can see the fire in Tamika's eyes. Once LaNisha realized that she wasn't happy about that at all, she gives me a big kiss right in front of her and says "what up now bitch!" Once the "b" word came out of her mouth Tamika get even madder and pushes LaNisha to the ground.

When LaNisha falls to the ground I instantly get out of the car. While my boys and her friends are helping her up, Tamika and I begin to argue. After I call her out of her name a few times and tell her how I really feel about her, she finally gets the hint and walks off with her friends. As she is walking off, I walk up to LaNisha and give her a kiss. After we kiss she grabs me by my shirt and says "boy if you ever do that shit again I will personally kick yo black ass!" When she said that all I could do is laugh, but after I laugh I look at her in the eyes and let her know it won't happen again.
