chapter 26: just relax

As I am waking up in the hospital I could remember not one thing. All I could do is wonder why do I have all these wires hooked up to me. When I stop looking at the wires I look around the room and see my girl sleep by the window. The whole time while I'm looking at her sleep, she finally wakes up and says "oh my God baby I am so glad you are finally a wake! How are you feeling?" After she says that I look at her and say "yeah I'm fine baby, but why are you talking as if I have been sleep for weeks?" That's when she walks to me, gives me a kiss and says "baby you have been out of it for a week. It's January 21st now." When she said that I couldn't believe my ears, but all I know is that I'm glad o be alive!

After about three minutes go by I unhook myself from all of these wires and go to the restroom. While I am in there I hear my girl talking to someone, so I walk out there and see my boy J-Rock along with his sister. Now of course I was happy to see my boy and everything, but his sister on the other hand made me a little nervous. "Hey Rock what's good with you? Oh and hey Mesha..." I say as I am closing the restroom door behind me. "Nothing much bro how you feeling? I see you up and walking now that's good!" J-Rock responds.

When I tell him that I am ok we all sit down to talk and chill. As we are sitting down talking I ask J-Rock why he is here. That's when he looks at me and says "well B.D told me to let you stay with me, so I'm just letting you know that I moved all of yalls stuff into my house and whenever you ready to leave come on over cause you know you are more than welcome. Oh and of course I had to stop by and see my main man!"

Once he says that I look at him with a surprised look upon my face. Next thing you know my girl jumps up and says "isn't that nice baby how bout it?" After I think about it for a quick second I go ahead and respond "well baby you know I am cool with my nigga here and everything, but I also like my privacy. I just saying homie... you understand right my nigga?" After I say that he tells me he understands where im coming from and then makes the suggestion that I should stay with him until I get another place to stay.

I think about that for a minute or two and then finally I go ahead and say yes. After I say yes I ask J-Rock what happen with Nine and DeSean. That's when he replies "well they did get locked up, but B.D said since you didn't die they will be eligible for parole sooner than we think." After I hear that all I could do is nod my head from side to side because I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Okay that's cool I got dem when they get out though!" I say with anger in my voice while giving J-Rock some dap.

After about twenty minutes goes by a doctor by the name of Dr. Jemerson walks in and says "well... well... well look who finally wakes up. I was just coming in to check on you. Now that you are up and everything seems well you can leave whenever you would like, but don't hesitate to come back if you need to. Here are your clothes and I'm glad your okay." Once he said that he walks out and since it was going on six o'clock I decide to get dressed and ready to leave. While I'm getting dressed LaNisha goes to the front desk to check me out and J-Rock goes outside to get the car. As I am struggling to put on my shirt because my side still hurts a little, Mesha walks back in and says "LoJarvis I just want you to know something since you are my baby's daddy you will take care of your child because point blank I have school to worry about and a boyfriend that I love. Oh and if you don't claim what's yours I will make sure my boyfriend FUCKS YOU UP!"

When she says that I look at her and say "hold up whatever the hell we did didn't mean a thing to me, but trust me I am a man and I will take care of what's mine. So don't try and threaten me cause I aint scared of no nigga and that includes yo little ass!" After I say what I have to say I we begin to mug each other as I begin to walk out the room as she follows behind. As I am walking down the hall of the hospital I run into my girl and she tells me it's time to go. Once she said that we begin to walk to the car and head to J-Rock's house.

The ride to J-Rock's house seemed like forever. Maybe it was because I was nervous about us staying there with J-Rock's sister, but who knows what's really going to happen. As we are pulling up to the house I see a police car outside the house, so of course I was wondering what was going on. Wants we come to a stop and J-Rock turns off the car he tells me to chill in the car while he goes and talks to him. As he gets out the car to talk to the policemen I try and listen to see what's going on, but we are too far away so I can't hear much. While I'm trying to be nosy J-Rock turns to the car and yells don't worry he just need a statement play boy. After he said that ii go ahead and get out the car as the girls go inside. When I approach the officer he say "hi Mr. Willson this will only take a minute. I just need a statement from you about the incident that occurred before you were put in the hospital." That's when I tell him everything that happen that night from beginning to end. Once we are done talking he shakes my hand and walks away. As I begin to walk inside J-Rock's house he tells me the crew is on the way over.

While time goes by LaNisha and Mesha head over to Tina's house and a few minutes after they leave the gang finally shows up, so we just sit and chill as we wait for B.D. When he arrives ten minutes he doesn't hesitate to get started. "Listen up everyone I don't think we will be doing any banging until L.J gets better. We can still make money, but we should probably lay low for a while since "50" has a close watch on all of us." After everyone agrees with what B.D says they all leave, but before B.D leaves he asked me to speak to him outside. As we are walking out the door he says "I realize you don't have a car son... So I decided to get you one playa!" After he says that he points to the other side of the street and I see this clean black on black Suburban sitting on 25" chrome rims and black leather seats. When he said that was my ride I couldn't thank him enough, so I just gave him a hug as he handed me the keys. After he hands me the keys he looks me in the eye and tells me to keep my head up and to call him whenever I need something before walking off. Once he drives off I walk across the street to check out my new ride. While I'm looking in it I just keep thinking about my girl and how I can't wait until she sees the new car.

After a good hour or two goes by I decide to get the new paper and look up an apartment. While I am flipping through the pages I see something that catches my eye. It's a brand new apartment complex on 34th street and Lenix called Sunset Point, but before I can really look into it my girl and Mesha walk through the door. As soon as I see her I get up and say "hey baby I have a big surprise for you so close your eyes and come with me!" When she does that I walk her outside near the new car and tell her to open them and when she sees the new car she can't believe her eyes. "Baby is that ours?" she asks me with excitement in her voice. When I say yes she gets real happy and gives me a big hug because while I was locked up she had to sell our car to pay the bills. Since we are in a good mood I tell her about the apartment I found in the paper and it make her even happier.
