chapter 24: let's get it started

After last night I was really tired and pissed off on top of that. As I am waking up on the couch at J-Rock's house wearing nothing but my boxers I decide to put on the rest of my clothes and leave because I could tell J-Rock still hasn't shown up. As I am walking out the door I begin to think about how much I really love my baby LaNisha and still want to marry her. Once I get to my house I open the door only to see my LaNisha lying down on the couch with the candy, flowers, and a box of tissue by her side. That's when I walk over to her bend over and give her a kiss. After I kiss her on her cheek while she is sleeping I whisper in her ear "don't worry baby... I'm not going anywhere!" The reason why I told her that is because I know in the past that I have done her wrong and no matter what she has always forgave me, so now it's my turn to forgive her.

While she is sleeping on the couch I go to the kitchen and get me something cold to drink. Then I grab the phone and call J-Rock on his cell to see if he would answer. The phone rang about five times before anyone picked up. When he does finally answer I say "what up play boy I know you sleep and shit but come over here around 6:30." After I tell him that he says ok in a sluggish tone and then hangs up the phone.

As soon as I hang up the phone my girl wakes up and says "baby... Your back... Look I know you're mad but I just want to let you know that I promise I didn't do anything with him and I am so..." Before she could finish talking I tell her to be quiet and not to sweat it because I have already forgiven her. While I am talking she begins to cry, so I walk up to her and wrap my arms around her and begin to tell her everything will be ok and that I will never leave her again. While we are hugging I lift her head up to give her a kiss. After we kiss she looks at me and says "come sit down I have to ask you something really important." When she says that I begin to wonder what on earth does she have to ask me as we begin to walk over to the couch. Once we are sitting down she looks me in the eyes and tells me that she is pregnant and that she knows it's mine because she haven't slept with no one else but you. After she said she was pregnant I didn't care about anything else she had to say because I knew it was mine and words couldn't express how I felt.

After being silent for a good three minutes I put a smile on my face and give her a kiss. After we kiss I reach into my pocket and pull out the ring that I bought for her. When I pull it out I instantly get on one knee and pop the question. "Baby I love you with all my heart and soul and you know that. That's why I want to ask you to be my wife so that everyone could know you're my one and only baby! So how about it will you marry me?" Once I finish my little speech she didn't have to say anything because her expressions said it all, so I give her a kiss along with a long passionate kiss. While we are kissing I hear a knock at the door, so I get up and go answer it. When I answer the door my nigga LaTae and his girl NaTonya is at the door so I go ahead and invite them in.

While they are walking in I give NaTonya a hug and LaTae some dap. Once I close the door NaTonya walks up to LaNisha and gives her a hug as well. After they hug that's when LaNisha says "girl check out the bling my baby gave to me! Girl I got LoJarvis Tae'Sean Willis to propose to me can you believe it?" As soon as LaNisha tell her that I proposed to her she looks at the ring with amazement in her eyes. The next thing you know she lets out a scream that could wake the neighbors if they were asleep. That's when LaTae looks at me and says "damn LJ do you even realize that you are the first Black Diamond to ever get married? Congrats my nigga real talk!" After LaTae congratulates me NaTonya turns around and says "yeah nigga now it's yo got damn turn! We have been together for as long as them and it's time for yo ass to commit shit!" That's when LaTae looks at me her as if she is crazy and then looks at me and begins to laugh. When he starts to laugh NaTonya get mad pushes him and head up the stairs with LaNisha.

Once they are up stairs LaTae and I go sit on the couch. As we are getting comfortable on the couch LaTae looks at me and says "so you're tying the knot...Look what you done did! Now you know damn well my girl and J-Rock girl gone nag the hell out of us now! Don't get me wrong I do plan on marrying her just not right now ya dig? So when's the wedding gone be?" When he asked that I think for a minute and say "man I have no clue I just wish my mom's was here for it. I know my moms and my pops looking down on me right now. I bet they real proud of me right now ya feel me?"

While LaTae and I are talking I end up hearing a knock at the door, so I look at the clock and see that it is almost time for J-Rock to come by so get up to go answer it. As I am opening up the door J-Rock and his girl Tina walk in. "What's popping my nigga? Hey Miss Tina the girls is up stairs." I say after giving them both some love. After she walks up the stairs the boys and I go and sit back on the couch.

After a good three minutes passed we hear a scream come from up stairs and that's when J-Rock looks at us and says "what the hell is going on up there?" That's when LaTae says "oh don't trip about that yo girl prolly just found out L.J just popped the question to LaNisha!" Once LaTae said that J-Rock looks at me as if he has just had the shock of a life time and says "you of all people is getting married? Are you serious? You can hardly keep your hand off other women, let alone get married!" That's when everyone laughs because we all knew it was true.

While everyone is sitting down talking and enjoying their selves I decide to go ahead and call B.D and tell him the good news. Once I call him and tell him he congratulates me and says tomorrow we are going to have a big blow out party in our honor at the house. Once we get off the phone I tell everyone what is going on and everyone is ready to get started. I'm just hoping everything goes right this time!
