chapter 44: the make up

It's been a month and I still haven't seen my baby. Although we have talked on the phone a few times it's not enough. I miss my family like crazy, but as crazy as this sounds I kind of brought this all on myself. As I am getting ready to start my day I hear my cell rings and when I answer it my nigga L.T is on the other end telling me to come by. Before I say ok I ask him if LaNisha is over there, but he tells me no but my kids are so I say ok. Once I hang up the phone I begin to head out. As I am locking the door behind me I realize I forgot my gun, but I decide not to worry about it.

When I arrive at his house I get out the car and knock on the door. As L.T opens the door I can already hear my kids little feet running to me screaming my name "daddy...daddy". As they approach me they instantly jump into my arms and hug my neck. After I hug them back and tell them how much I miss them L.T and I sit on the couch and chill as my kids play in front of us. As time passes with us just watching television and drinking we hear someone open the door.

When they walk into the house I see that it is NaTonya, Tina, and LaNisha. Once LaNisha spots me sitting on the couch she gives me an ugly look, so I dap up my nigga give my boys a hug and walk out the door. On my way to the car LaNisha follows me and grabs my hand "I miss you nigga!" she says as I turn around. That's when I smile walk up to her give her a kiss and let her know I miss her as well.

Since I can see that both of our feelings are still high for each other I ask her if she will move back in with me. After I ask that she ask me will things be different, so of course I say yes and when I do that she smiles and gives me another kiss. After we kiss she walks back in the house to go get the kids and her things. While she is doing that L.T walks outside and says that he heard the good news. That's when I smile and say "yep I got my family back!" After I say that my girl and kids walk out the door, but before they get close L.T pulls me to him and whispers in my telling me to not mess up this time. After he says that I nod my head as my boys run to me and hug my legs. After I hug them back and give my girl a kiss I put them in the car. After I put my kids in the car I grab my girls things and put them in the car as well as she says bye to everyone. Once she is threw we all get in the car and head home.

On our way home she couldn't keep her hands off of me. When we stopped at a light she began to kiss me on my lips and neck. I guess we got carried away because the light turned green and then red again without me even knowing it. So this time I tried to keep my eye on the light, but of course we got carried away again. While we are kissing she stops and begins to scream, so I instantly look up and right when I turn around some guy fires two gun shots into the car hitting me in my side. At this point I thought my life was over and the last thing I heard before I blacked out was my baby telling me to hold on.

A few minutes later I wake up to nothing but bright lights and people rushing me down a bright white hallway. Then I hear this man telling me not to worry and that everything will be ok. Once we reach the operating room they immediately rip the clothes off my body trying to find an exit wound from the bullets. They found one, but as for the one that was bleeding the most they couldn't find. Since they couldn't find it a doctor put me to sleep, so that they could perform surgery.
