chapter 35: 2 weeks after the funeral

Now its May16th two weeks after J-Rock's funeral and we are just now getting over the fact that he's gone. I am also proud that Tina is being able to move on because she was taking his death real hard. Even though you can still see pain in her eyes at times, she's still strong. On the flip side of things no one is really going to be able to get over all of this confusion until we get J-Rock's killers.

While I am sitting down watching television with my boys, my cell rings. When I answer it B.D is on the other end telling me, instead of going straight for Mr. Valdez we have to get a few people first to send the message. Right before getting off the phone he makes sure to tell me to get my AK's and nines because we are doing a drive by.

Once we get off the phone I immediately go get set up, but since LaNisha isn't here I call her on her cell and let her know I'm dropping the kids off with NaTonya. As soon as I get off the phone with her I finish getting set up and head downstairs. Once my kids and I hit the bottom step I see a blue Cadillac drive off, but I decide not to think anything of it and just head over to L.T's house. On my way there I call him and let him know what's about to go down.

As I am pulling up into his driveway I honk the horn letting him know that I am outside. After I do that I take the boys out of the car and walk to the door. As I am knocking on the door NaTonya walks out and tells me L.T is almost ready, so I go ahead and walk inside and sit Tae'Sean and LoJarvis jr. on the couch. Once I get the boys comfortable L.T walks out. After he tells Tina and NaTonya bye we head to B.D's house. On our way to B.D's place I tell him about the blue Cadillac I saw, but he tells me not to worry about it because it could have been anyone.

When we finally arrive at B.D's crib everyone is already outside awaiting our arrival, so right when we pull up we pull out and head over to the Westside. As we are driving down Gonzales Street we begin to run into a lot of Latin Kings on the corner putting in work. That's when we role down the window and start firing. While we are shooting I begin to see bodies drop one by one. As we are pulling up to a park we stop shooting and I see Mr. Valdez's right hand men Jose aka And 1, Isaac aka Iceman, Juelz aka Snake and Richard aka Big Rick. When we see them B.D tells me, L.T, and a few others to get out and talk to them.

As we are walking on the court Jose says "aye I think you are on the wrong side of town vato!" After he says that I look at him and say "nigga calm that shit down we just want to exchange words with you real quick." Next thing you know Jose and his followers begin to walk toward us. Once Jose gets face to face with me he pulls out his nine and says "how do you feel now? You still wanna talk?" When he did that I look him dead in the eyes and say "as many times as I have been shot and had a gun pulled out on me do you really think I'm scared of you at all? Cause if you ask me if you were going to pull the trigger you would have did it by now, so how bout you put that gun down before you make me a little mad!" After he lowers his gun I let him know that if he knows what's good for him, he would never do that again with my hand an inch away from his face. After I say that he slaps my hand away from his face and sucker punches me to the ground. When he does that L.T punches him in the face, as I slowly struggle to get back to my feet. Once I finally get to one knee his boys start to stomp on me. That's when everyone gets involved.

While we are fighting Jose realizes that they are not in control of the fight, so he breaks away from the fight and fires three rounds into the air. When he did that we all stop in our tracks. "Why in the hell are we fighting with these vatos? Either way it goes we don't want to hear anything you have to say!" he says with anger in his voice. That's when I get highly upset and say "you know what... you don't have to talk to me at all, but since you are choosing that route we will pick yall off one by one! Lets role out boys." As we are walking off L.T looks at me and ask me what did I mean by what I said back there, but all I told him was to just wait and see.

When I get in the car I lean over and whisper in B.D's ear what I want to do, but since this is a risky task he says we will discuss it when we get back to the eastside. As we are arriving at L.T's house we all sit down and talk about my plan. The only way we are going to get to Mr.Valdez is if we take out all of his right hand men first one by one. The only thing is we have to figure out who to take out first. After we think for a few minutes, we come to the decision that Jose depends on the loyalty of his crew to have his back. So of course we must see how well he reacts when he has no crew. If you ask me I think he is a weak man hiding behind his people, so let see how well he does when he is the last man standing!
