Exciting Stuff--The three winners of the 500 votes competition are:

Aqua1204

AlexofAsgaard

And EmiLovesMusic

Remember lovies, if you weren't picked, the choosing was entirely random. The only specifications were that your vote was between 498 and 515, and I had the numbers picked before anyone even voted.

So, you three have won a personal request, which I will fill to the best of my ability, guaranteed at least 1500 words. For the best results, I'd recommend checking my introduction page, as those are the fandom's I'm well versed in. However, whatever you'd like, I'll be sure to make it as good as possible.

Modern Phantom of the Opera [Erik Destler] x Reader--

The lovers aren't in love if the other runs away.

Warnings: Uh...let me think on it...nothing. Well, light cursing. Ya'll know me by now.

Note: I just love the phantom of the opera. Coming soon: Gotham Sirens x Reader

Modern Erik Destler Imagine

A young woman sat poised at the piano, aimlessly running her fingers along the keys. There was no real tune or reason to the notes, but it wasn't deaf either. Her gentle melody was interrupted, though, when her teacher walked into the room with two bottles of water.

"Are you here to play piano, Ms. L/n, or are you paying for singing lessons?" He snapped. In response she blushed and slid from the bench, moving over to the divan she usually sat on.

"Sorry Mr. Destler, it's a lovely instrument, though."
"I know." He muttered, handing one to her before sitting in her vacated spot. "And I wouldn't at all mind teaching you after our lesson has finished."

"All right. I can do that." She smiled and took a long drink. It was routine that he would pause midway through their voice lesson and get her some water--he was considerate like that. She finished it in a few minutes, and he immediately launched into a piece he had written the night before. She joined at the right moment, and thus began the lesson.

"And to love I say, never again shall you see my face--"

Erik stopped, suddenly, as she missed her last note yet again.

"What on earth is your problem, today? You were hitting it perfectly earlier! Are you using the exercises?"

"Of course!" She shot back, offended. "You know I trust you explicitly! I'm not sure why I can't hit it--I just can't!"

He gave a long sigh and slowly lowered the wood that covered the keys. "Go home, get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow."

"What about my piano lesson?"
"When you can hit every note in the song, I'll teach you piano."

Two entire weeks passed, eight lessons, and she had yet to hit the note. They both grew more and more frustrated as each day went by. Y/n was upset that she couldn't impress Eric by finally reaching the skill level he pegged her at. Erik was upset that his favorite student was failing a piece he wrote specifically for her. Y/n had more than the required skill, talent, and vocal range--it didn't quite add up. On the first lesson of the third week, he decided to try something different.

"You'll be singing with another person, today."
"Ooh, alright. Who, Christine?" Erik cringed at her mention. Christine was an old student he had fallen in love with, but as she got engaged, married, and a new voice teacher, he felt less and less for her. Still, the wounds had yet to close.
