I darted into Alex's room as his mom opened their door. I began to change into the clothes I wore yesterday. Why wouldn't Alex's dad want him to live? I thought it was a parent's worst nightmare to have their child die before they do. Apparently not.
Hatred began to brew inside me towards his father. I wanted to hit something. I spun around and ran into Alex's chest. Without thinking, I punched him in the chest really hard. He stumbled back as I gaped in awe. I just hit my boyfriend. I am a horrible person. There I was in my bra and shorts, and I just hit my boyfriend in the chest.
He rubbed the spot where I hit him and nervously walked back towards me. "Feel better?"
"Alex, I am so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you."
"Damn you hit hard, why the hell did you do that?"
"Let's just say that your dad is not on my favorites list." Alex's face turned from a mocking smile to a stone hard scowl. I had never seen him switch moods that fast and it scared me a little. "What did he do?"
"I'm not supposed to talk about it I don't think."
"Cydney, I swear to God, tell me what happened."
"Alex, if I could I would, but I can't"
"Did he touch you?"
"What? Of course not!" Alexander looked at me. I knew he believed that his dad didn't touch me, but I could tell that he was still suspicious. I pulled a shirt on and gathered the rest of my things. I purposefully left the Holliday jersey behind as I exited his room. I made it downstairs before he stepped in front of me and refused to let me through. "I still have to drive you home."
"No, you don't."
"I am not letting you walk again."
"I never said walking."
"What did I tell you about your mom picking you up when you are at my house?"
"I am having Chyna pick me up."
"Cyd..."
"Alex, I accidently blew her off last night. I have to make it up to her." I pulled out my phone and hit the speed-dial for Chyna's number. She picked up after the third ring. "Yo."
"Hey, can you come pick me up?"
"Why doesn't Alex just drive you home?" I could sense some spite in her voice.
"Because I need a girl's day, and I need to talk to you."
"Fine, I'll be there in ten." She hung up and I placed my phone in my pocket again. He huffed but stepped out of my way. I made it to the door before I turned around and gave my boyfriend a quick peck on the cheek. He wasn't happy at the quick kiss but he didn't push his luck. I heard heavy footsteps on the stairs and his father appeared at the bottom. "Son, your mom and I have something to talk to you about."
"Anything you have to say you can say in front of Cydney." His gruff voice combined with defying his father made me want to get out of there even more.
I heard three constant honks and saw Chyna's ancient car in the driveway. I gave a quick nod to Adam, spun on my heel and left. Alex had no time to protest before I was opening the door to Chyna's car.
I slid in the seat and was bombarded with questions. "Did you two get in a fight?"
"Sort of."
"Explain."
"I overheard Adam and Amanda talking about something that I shouldn't have heard, and I am not too happy with what Adam had to say about it."
"What?" She was already down the drive and halfway to the highway.
