The boys rolled around ten minutes late. Apparently Cam couldn't find the right shirt for Chyna. He is really nervous. I got into Alex- Isaiah's truck, and Cam got into Chyna's. She hated people driving her car, it was like her baby. Because my house wasn't that far from the restaurant we were there fairly quickly. The restaurant wasn't as busy as we thought it would be for a Wednesday night so we were seated almost immediately. Surprisingly, Alex and I had the same favorite meal, I didn't know a guy was capable of loving something so light as cheese ravioli. So we just ordered a big one and decided to split it. Chyna and Cameron did the same thing with the rigatoni.
Alex was holding my hand gently under the table and I didn't mind. After we got our drinks, -two root beers for Alex and I with water and two sprites for Chyna and Cam- Cam drank over half of his then he piped up, "If you didn't know it, I would think that you guys have been dating for years."
I blushed as Alex rubbed circles into my hand with his thumb. Neither of us said anything but Chyna nodded her head in agreement. "I could say the same for you and Chyna."
Thankfully, the food got there quickly saving us from any more embarrassing conversation. We passed on dessert and the two boys picked up the check. As we went into the parking lot, Chyna decided to just drive Cam home then go get started on her homework. I asked Alex to drive me home and he allowed it.
We got into the car still holding hands. He was reluctant to let my hand go before he started the ignition. I guess he knew that since I was already really uncomfortable he wouldn't push it by only having one hand on the wheel.
The drive didn't take as long as I hoped it would, which is surprising considering the resentment I held toward the car. Alex got out and came around to open my door. I stumbled as I got out and he caught me. He held me securely to his chest and peered down on me. I felt like I was in the stands at the football field again.
I motioned with my finger for him to lower his head. As he brought it down to my face and I smirked. I kissed his cheek and made my way to his ear. I opened my mouth to say something.... "Yo quiero Taco Bell."
I laughed and ran away to my door. He was a little confused but chased after me a split second later. He caught me as I was about to open my door and pulled me in for a hug. God I could get used to this. He now brought his lips to my ears and whispered something that caught me off guard. "Can I give you a goodbye kiss first?"
"Yes. Yes sir you may." He cut me off as I was at may and did it. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders as if to hold him there. I could get used to this too. We kissed for what seemed like forever until we heard a throat clear. I jumped back and looked to see my mother at the doorway. "It's good you finally let her up to breath, I thought you were doing CPR while standing up for a second."
My face turned tomato red as I dashed inside. I sat on my bed as my phone vibrated. It was a text from Alex thanking me for the awesome date and saying he would see me at school tomorrow. I didn't know if he would text and drive and I wasn't going to chance it so I figured I'd respond tomorrow before English. Maybe with another kiss?
It was almost eight so I dressed for bed, made a post to social media talking about tonight's adventures and went to sleep. I dreamt about him and wondered what tomorrow would bring.
