I slowly unwrapped myself from my two friends, at the same time my boyfriend was slowly wrapping his arms around my waist.  He bent down by my ear and kissed the end of my jaw.  Chyna turned to see why I pulled away and she cringed a little.  "Might I say, your father is an ass."

"Agreed."  Alex shook his head and I could feel it against my shoulder.  God, it was like a little massage.  I placed my hands on top of his arms that were linked around my body still.  He took a step forward and I did too.  We walked out of H&M like this.  I started laughing as we went down stairs in this position.  People started staring at us.  After we circled around until we got to Dairy Queen, he released me and pulled out a chair for me to sit down.  Here came the shitty part, the talk.

"So, were you mad about the surgery?"  All I could do was nod.  "I didn't know about it Cyd."

"I know.  How did you know we were here?"

"The talk with my mom and dad was supposed to be longer than it was.  He said the part about me not making my decision based off you and Cam.  I got mad, so I left.  I was going to go to your house, but I turned the corner and saw Chyna's car stopped in the middle of the street.  I decided to follow you and ended up here.  I was watching you watch Chyna and Cam."

"Stalker."

"Cydney, what do you want me to do?"

"That isn't my choice Alex."

"Oh, but it is."

"No, it isn't, and your dad is right, you shouldn't base your decision off of me or Cam.  Do what is best for you."

"Cydney, I don't think that you understand something."

"I understand that you have about fifteen days left."

"Yes, but what you don't understand is that my entire life practically revolves around you.  When I saw you, I fell in love.  And you smiled because you knew."

"Shakespeare?"

"Yeah."

"Alex, you shouldn't choose to live just for me.  Because one day, we will grow tired of each other, it's inevitable."

"Okay, my decision is made."

"Are you going to tell me?"

"I am choosing the surgery.  Because I have something to prove to you."

"And that would be?"

"That we will always come back to each other."  I gave a half smile and he grabbed my hand.  We stood up and finished the circle by ending up at the store that started our endeavor.  Chyna wasn't there anymore, we didn't know where, but we walked around a couple times like we did earlier.  My hands rested on top of his that were clasped around my waist with him leaning on top of my head.

In order not to trip, we had to focus on our footsteps.  I was gazing at the floor watching our feet work together when he pulled me to a stop.  I pulled my eyes up to see why we stopped, Emily was standing in front of us.  She was smiling and twirling her hair between two fingers.  "Can I just say that you guys are adorable together?  It is like, goals!"

"You would be the first."  That was Alex, I was blushing fiercely at her comment and felt that if I opened my mouth all that would come out was a squeak.

"I feel like you two are going to be the couple to get married and have the cutest kids."  She squealed and held my shoulders.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEK!"  I love Emily, but could she get any louder?

"Uhhhh."  Luckily my love saved me from further embarrassment.

"I hope so, but she is hard to keep a hold of."  Okay, so not lucky.  Really not lucky.  Alex wanted to marry me?  Kids?  I can't even take care of a hamster without stepping on it.  R.i.p. Skittles.  I twisted my head and looked at Alex in shock.  He grinned.  That bastard.

I turned back to Emily, but she was gone.  I de-trapped myself from Alex and crossed my arms over my chest.  "Mr.  I have a question for you."

"Eighty-two?"

"No.  On the night of the Rockie's game, did you happen to use protection?"

"I have car insurance if that is what you are asking."

"Alex!"

"Oh, um...  I may have forgotten that one tiny detail."

"So, what you are telling me, is that I could be pregnant?"

"No, I don't think I can have kids."

"Think?"

"Yeah, they said something about that when they told me about the cancer."  I calmed down a little.  I wasn't 17 and pregnant.  That was good.  That was okay.  I could live with that.  I wanted to be at least twenty.  Hell, even then I might not be prepared for kids.  Wait, that meant that if I ever wanted to have kids with Alexander, I couldn't.  Fucking cancer.

"Question number two:  If you are sure about the surgery, when are you getting it?"

"Probably next week so I don't completely run out of time."  I nodded and wrapped myself in his arms again.  I could take that.  I would rather him get it done as soon as possible than wait until the last minute and something goes wrong.

We walk out of the mall at the same place we came in and I follow him to his truck.  He drove me back to my place where he groaned.  I looked out my window and saw an unfamiliar car in the driveway.  Was that his parents?  I got out and he sat in the car rubbing his eyes.  I walked up to my door and knocked lightly.

The door flew open and I saw Amanda standing there a little scared until she registered my face.  Her eyes grew soft and she hugged me.  "Is Alex with you?"

"Yes, he is still in the car, though."  She beamed and pulled me inside.  I guess she wanted Alex to come and get me.  I made my way to the den and saw my least favorite person in the world.  He sat with his hands folded between his knees and his head down.  "Well, look at what the cat dragged in."

My mother gaped at me and went to speak.  "No, mom.  Let me explain why I hate this guy.  You knew about the date Alex and I went on.  I stayed the night- shocker- but when I went back upstairs after the police interrogation, I heard him and Amanda talking.  Amanda brought up a surgery that could save Alexander's life and this old man said that he shouldn't go through with the surgery if it was only for me.  Completely disregarding the fact that he might get a chance at having his son around for more than 17 years.  If Alex wants to go through the surgery at the chance of staying with me, he should let him.  But he would rather his son die, then let him be happy."

"I said that because I know how flighty women are and how after you are done with him you will through him to the curb like he is nothing."

"DON'T YOU THINK THAT AFTER WHAT HAS HAPPENED BETWEEN ALEX AND I, THAT IF I DIDN'T LOVE HIM WE WOULDN'T BE TOGETHER!?"  My mom stood by me and wrapped her arm around her waist.  I was not going to sit here and let this piece of shit tell me that I was going to dump his son if Channing Tatum walked through the door.  Amanda was to in awe at what to say after my outburst.

I broke away and ran to my room.  I sat on my bed and screamed into a pillow, I couldn't hit anything, but I sure as hell could voice my opinion.  I heard a knock on the door and it slowly opened.  "I am not apologizing."

"I don't want you to, I told you that I was going to prove that we wouldn't tire of each other, but I feel like you are proving that to yourself.  And my dad was being an asshole.  But may we have a conversation?"

"What is with you and talking?"

"The best relationships have good communication.  May I?"

"Go for it."
