We arrived at the party. Already there were people drunk and passed out on Laurie's lawn. I rolled my eyes. I never understood why people would love alcohol so much if it did this to them. Just walking up the path I stepped over countless red plastic cups. Music was so loud that Alex just opened the door and walked in. I followed after him and would've gotten pelted in the face with a football if it wasn't for my love's sharp reflexes. I thanked him and closed the door behind me. Laurie was running around screaming at people to put things down. I tugged on her arm and asked her where her kitchen was. I was in no mood to drink any alcohol. I had never had a sip and had no intention to either.
She pointed me to the left and went back to yelling at someone to put down the vase. I shook my head and went in my intended direction. I made it to the kitchen, the only thing that wasn't alcoholic was margarita mix. I poured some out into a glass and drank it. It was so bitter that I gagged at the taste. Another high school guy came in and grabbed a beer. He chugged it then threw up in the sink. He looked at me and wiped his mouth. I made a disgusted face and he left. I walked over to the fridge again and grabbed a bottle. I took off one of my rings and opened it. The liquid fizzed slightly when I popped off the top. I gently tilted it back and it burned the whole way down my esophagus. I sputtered and choked. It tasted like piss. My throat burned. I poured the rest down the sink and walked out of the kitchen.
I looked around the living room for Alex. I finally spotted him in the corner. Laurie had her hand up to his chest and was talking to him intently. I couldn't hear what was going on but he was looking down at her and saying something. I was infuriated. Instead of going over there, I went back into the kitchen and opened another beer. I swallowed it as fast as I could. Still not satisfied, I opened another one and repeated the action. I must have done this four more times. After the sixth, I started to see the room spinning. I walked back out the kitchen and through the hall looking for Alex. He was in the room furthest from the house itself. He had a beer in his hand. "Heeey bish."
"Cyd? Are you drunk?"
"Maybe, what is your problem?"
"Cyd, I think we need to go. Mike is here, and I don't want you around him."
"Naww, I'm not going anywhere with you."
"Why not?"
"Because you misther, misther, have been cheating on my with my nuu bestie!"
"Who? I haven't cheated on you Cydney, and you know that."
"Then why was Laurie's hand on your chest."
"Because she was keeping me from beating the hell out of Mike."
"Whatever, I'm going to go find some friends. They won't cheat on me."
"Cyd stop! We're going home."
"No! You can go home, but IIII am staying." I stumbled out of the room into a hallway. Michael was in the hallway and coming towards me. I slid on the wall past him. He stopped and backed up to me. I tripped over my own two feet and he caught me. "Hey, Cydney."
"Mike, I don't think I am supposed to thalk to you." I poked his chest.
"And why not?"
"Because you hurt my frand. Laurie doesn't liiike you."
"I know, but she would have if you didn't talk to her."
"Probably."
"So I think you owe me." I crinkled my nose at him. "What do I owe you?"
