Peggy's Nurse's POV. I was standing in the hall when I heard some yell. "Look! Come over to the TV!" "Why what's happened?" I asked. The young nurse answered, "Haven't you heard!? They found Captain Rogers! You know Captain America. He was frozen. They put him under surveillance and he woke up! It's all over the news!" We both ran down the hall to the TV. The woman was right. He had woken up and he was confused and looked a little scared. That's when I thought of Mrs. Sousa or I mean Miss Carter. She can't find out about this not in the health she's in! Quickly I ran into her bedroom and turned off the TV. Luckily she was still sleeping,but when I turned it off she woke up. "Oh, Hello Nancy. I was just resting my eyes for a little while. Has my niece called me at all?" She asked sweetly. "No Miss Carter, but I'm sure she will tonight after work." "Work, what kind of job does she do?"she asked "Don't you remember? She's a nurse." I answered. "Oh yes, of course. Nancy, why do I forget so much? When I was young I had such a quick memory." I answered her, "You don't forget a lot, just sometimes. And that's normal. You have so many adventures to remember so you forget things to make room and to keep those other memories." I told her, trying to make her feel better. She smiled. "Maybe so." She said. Then I left the room. ******************************************************************* The Present.
Steve's POV.
I arrived at the care center where Peggy was staying. I never would have imagined her here. She was always able to take care of herself. I went in and went to the desk. "Excuse me?" I asked. The desk clerk turned around "Oh yes. How may I help you?" She asked "I'm here to see Miss Carter" I answered. The woman looked at the flowers in my hand and asked "Are you a relative?" "Uh, no, but I'm an old friend." "I see. Well, her nurse will take you to her." She said. Then she called the nurse over and she showed me to the room. Outside the door I was about to walk in, when the nurse put her hand up and stopped me. "Captain Rogers." She started. I was surprised she knew who I was. "I'm very fond of Miss Carter. Break it to her gently. Please. She's very old and weak. She's not like she was when you knew her." She stated. I nodded "Also, there's something else you need know." She paused. "Captain, Miss Carter has dementia. So if you tell her your back and she understands, then one minute later she acts like she's seeing a ghost... that's why." She explained. I nodded. Now I was more worried then ever! I don't want to hurt her. "Wait here. I'll announce you," the nurse said. I nodded. Then she went in.
Peggy's POV.
I was sitting in my wheelchair, looking out my widow, Watching a blue bird on the widow box, when Nancy came in. "Hello Miss Carter. How are you feeling?" She asked me. "Oh, just wonderful! The bees are buzzing and the birds are singing." I laugh a little. "Well I'm very glad you feel so chipper!" She giggled. "I have someone outside who is very eager to see you." She said "Is it Sharon?" I asked, "No. It's an old friend of yours, from... the War." She said hesitantly. I looked at her confused. All my friends from the War have passed on. Howard, All the Howling Commandos, and... Steve... "Nancy all my friends from the War have passed away." I stated confused. "Not all of them... Miss carter shall I show him in?" She asked. "Yes." I said confused. She started to leave but turned around abruptly. "Miss Carter, please brace yourself it's not what your expecting." She asked. I nodded. Who could it be that is making her so worried? I reached over for my glass of water and started to take a sip. That's when the door opened. I looked up and dropped the cup of water I had. I couldn't believe my eyes! "Steve?" I asked. "Hi Peg." "Your-your alive?!" I started to cry. He came over to me and took the glass of water I had spilled off my lap, and put it on the end table. When he came back I grabbed his hand. He knelt down in front of me. "Yeah,...I'm alive." He said softly I started to cry so hard. "How? How are you here? You died! I was there I heard you! There was static!" I remembered talking to him before the crash. I know he died. I cried out to him and he never answered. He died! I know he did, but he's here! How could that be?!
"H-Howard he-he searched for y-you... They-they declared you dead years ago! You-you can't be alive!" I cried. He was looking at me with sorrow in his eyes. " Peggy." He paused. "It's me. I'm here now, I'm alive. I didn't die I was frozen. In hibernation. Something to do with Doctor Erskine's syrum." He explained. I was speechless. "It's been so long..."

"I know Peg. I know." He cued "But I'm here now, though. I'll never leave you again." That's when I broke down. We hugged each other and we both cried. I was happy to see him again, but I was heart broken because... I was inlove with him I was always inlove with him and now it's too late for us.
Steve's POV.
"I know Peg. I know, I'm here now though. I'll never leave you again." That's when she broke down. I embraced her and comforted her. I love her so much! I'm inlove with her,but now... I can't have her. It's too late for us.... That's when I started to cry also. I couldn't handle the thought of not being with her. After a little while we both calmed down. We pulled away from each other's embrace and looked at each other. She smiled at me. She might be older, but she still has the same beautiful eyes and smile. "I missed you Peg." I said. My eyes started to tear up. She smiled sadly "I missed you too." She said "when did you wake up?" "Just a few days ago. The first thing I thought of when I woke up was you. And what we talked about before I crashed." She started to tear up. "Do you remember what we talked about?" I asked, she giggled "Yes. I do." She sighed a little. "Well, I know this isn't the stork club but would you like to dance? If you can I mean..." I asked. She laughed a little "I can. Of course, I would love too." I helped her up and we started to slowly sway back and forth....
