Healing

Steve's POV.

I got up and grabbed my shield out of his suit. Then I walked to Bucky and picked him up. "I was wrong about you! The world was wrong about you!" He yelled at me as I was walking away. "You don't deserve that shield! My father made it!" He yelled. 'Maybe he's right. Howard made it and the winter soldier killed him. I protected Bucky. Tony should have it not me.' I thought. I nodded. Then I dropped the shield to the ground.

I walked out with Bucky and got on the Quinjet. When we got to it Black Panther was there with Zemo. He must of followed us. "I am sorry." T'Challa said. "I let vengeance consume me just like it consumed him. And Tony." He said.

I sighed. "Take him to the secretary. And make sure to tell Natasha about Tony and tell her where pick him up. He's been through a lot." I said. "And there's no need for the government to find out about Tony coming out here to find me and Bucky. He doesn't need to have that on him also." "Yes Captain. Where is your shield may I ask?" "Where it belongs. At least that one." I said. He nodded and went to his plane.
I took Bucky in the Quinjet and took off.******

The next day....
I got a uniform together that was black and went to the prison where Sam and the others were being held.

Before I did I mailed Tony a letter apologizing for not telling him the truth. I also put a phone in it with one contract. My new number. I hope he will forgive me. He's my brother to.

When I got to the prison I broke in and knocked th guards out. I walked up to one of the cells and saw Sam. He stood up and smiled. "Hey what took you so long?" He asked. "Oh, I had some business to take care off." I said. "Lets get you outta here.

I got everyone out except for Wanda. I went over to her cell. Her arms and hands were bound in leather belts. I winced just looking at them. She looked up at me. "Don't worry I'm getting you out of here." I said. "How'd it go?" She asked. "Not well." I said while prying the cell door open.

When I got it opened I ran in and started taking the belts off of her. "That bad huh." She said. "Well let's just say Tony and I probably won't be seeing each other for a while." She nodded. I started shaking my head. "I can't believe they did this to you all" I said. "I know. I guess their afraid." She said. "Yeah." Finally I got her out of the binds and she stood up. "Your okay now." I said. Then she hugged me. "Thank you." I hugged her back. "No problem. Let's go." We all got on a Quinjet and left the prison. On the Quinjet I got a call from King T'Challa. He told us that we come to Wakanda and hide out there he gave the directions in code and we flew to the secret location.

Tony's POV.
I was at the Avengers building helping Rodey with walking. I can't believe what's gone down. After the fight with Steve Natasha came in a helicopter and took me back to the States. Steve must of sent her after me. I've had time to calm down a bit about the whole deal. 'I understand that Barns wasn't himself. I know Steve was trying to spare me, but I'm still angry.' I thought. I looked over by the wall and saw the shield my Dad made for Steve. He believed in him. And died still believing in him. I looked away. I couldn't take looking at it. Just then I heard a knock at the door. An old man stood with a box in his hand. "Hello. Package for Tony Stark." "Thanks." I answered. I took the package inside and opened it. It was from Steve. "Dear Tony,
I'm glad your back at the Avengers     Building. I don't like the idea of you alone in a huge mansion. Everyone needs family. I want you to know I'm sorry for not telling you about Howard's death. I thought I was trying to spear your feelings. I know even though you act like your angry at your father and you don't want anything to do with him... I know you loved him and I also know that he loved you. That's I guess why I didn't want to tell you,but the truth is I was mostly sparing myself. I hope you can forgive me Tony you are one of my brothers and I hope we can go back to being so again. Keep the Avengers Tony they more yours than mine. I have my own team. And if you ever need us. Call. We'll be there.
