Everything has changed.

Peggy's POV.

I'm sorry I didn't want you to find out." Steve said. "Why? Where are you- what are you-?" I asked in a state of shock. He explained everything to me. It was hard to believe. I finally collapsed in a chair.

I looked over at Howard almost asking him if it was true. He nodded. I looked at the ground putting it all together. 'I don't believe it. It's true,but I don't believe it. Al this time everything he's said to me....was just a put up?"

I slowly looked up at him. "So-everything that's happened was just...." He quickly came over to my side and held my hand. "No. No. Don't say that. It wasn't just a put up. Peggy, I know it's early to hear it, but I-I love you." My eyes widened. 'Did he just say he loved me.' I looked at my hands then slowly back at him. "You do?" I asked. . He nodded and smiled lovingly. "Yes, more then you'll ever know I'm afraid."

His eyes started getting glassy. 'How could I know? He's the one for me I already know. So how could I not know how much he loves me? I mean I love him.' I thought.

"Peggy. You've got to understand. I was sent back because I'm from here. And my old self he....he was in love with you to and he is and will be when I leave."  He explained.

"But, it's so hard to understand. Your you." "I know but I'm my present me. Not my past. You-your the past." He said almost crying. 'I'm his past? Is that what he means? No. We're going to be together I know it.' I thought trying to shake away the nonsense.

"What am I like in the future?" I asked. He winced holding back tears. Then he smiled sweetly. "Your-your beautiful. Your, kind, loving, very wise, and strong. Stronger than I ever could be." He said. "Really?" I asked. 'The way he thinks of me is so sweet.' I thought.

"Yes. And before I go I have to tell you something before it's too late." He said. 'Too late?' I thought. 'What does he mean?' He looked me in the eyes taking my hand in both of his. "Peggy I love you. I love the way you smile, the way you laugh, the way you always know what to say,how strong you are and how loving, I even love the way you get jealous." My eyes widened. I was close to tears. He was confessing his love to me.

"I love you so much! Your so beautiful and kind, and you are always there for me. I'm in love with you Peggy Carter. I want you to know that. And even though sometimes....I-I may be far away or gone. I'm always with you threw...memories and love. And my heart will always be with you. Your apart of me and you always will be. And I want you to be happy." He said crying. I was now in tears to. He kissed my cheek.

Then he stood up. "Now, you both cannot tell anyone about this." He said. We nodded. He went over and shook Howard's hand, while I sat frozen realizing what was happening.

"Howard your son he may be a slacker, but he loves you so much. The only thing is...he doesn't think you do. Please let him know." He pleaded. "Okay." Howard  answered. "Good."

Then he clicked the button and a roaring, blue portal appeared in front of us. He waved to us. And stepped threw. He was gone. Suddenly the portal disappeared and there was a huge flash. Howard and I looked at each other. Just then there was a nock at the door.

"Come in." Howard answered. The door opened to reveal....Steve!? "Steve!" I exclaimed. I quickly ran to him. "Woah!" He chuckled. We embraced. "I haven't lost you. Your here! With me." I said. "What? Of course I'm here. Where else would I be?" He asked. I pulled away from the hug and looked in his eyes. "Don't you...?" I started to ask. He shook his head in confusion. Then I remembered what future Steve said. That our Steve wouldn't remember leaving or being from the future because he's not.

"Never mind. The point is, your here and that's all that matters." I told him. He smiled. "I'm here." He said comforting me. "I don't know what your talking about,but I'm here. Always." I hugged him then pulled away.

"Thank you by the way." He said. "For what?" I asked. "The picture." He said showing me the picture I gave him. I smiled. "I love you to." I said. He froze. "What?" He asked smiling. "I love you." "I-I love you to Peggy." He said. I smiled 'He does love me.' I thought, then I kissed him.

When we pulled away I looked him in the eyes. "I am never loosing you again." He looked at me confused. "You never did." He said. "I know not yet at least, but you'll understand one day. Anyway it doesn't matter anymore." I told him. "Okay? Let's go eat I'm starving." He said. I smiled. "Alright darling. Let's go." I said. He smiled. 'I will never let him go again.'

Steve's POV.

I was in the meeting room in the secret building. Ever since I got back from the past I've found out that so much gas changed. For one Pepper and Tony are engaged and since the accident never happened she's totally healthy. Also Howard was killed, but he was killed because he found out about hydra.

We aren't hiding out in Wakamda anymore because apparently Tony and the rest went and talked to the government saying that we wouldn't be apart of it and that we were going to fight for the world until we couldn't anymore. And how were they supposed to argue about it. So that's what's happened. Also Tasha and Bruce were engaged, apparently before he disappeared.

I wonder how that happened. I'm sure there's a lot more I don't know, but I'll find out later.

Just then Tony came in. "Hey buddy! You ready to go home?" He asked. "More than ready." I said. "I thought you would be. Missing Peggy and all." I looked at him oddly. "How is going back going to make me stop missing her?" I asked. He chuckled. "Really Steve all you've been doing for the past week is whining about how much you miss her. You worried me sick for days talking about how worried you were about her." He said. 'Worried about her?'

"What are you talking about Tony? Peggy's not here. She's..." I was interrupted. "Of course she's not here, she's back home." He said. I froze. "Home?" "Yeah, home. Steve are you feeling okay?" He asked. "No I'm not." I said sitting down.

"Tell me. I don't understand." I said. "Tell you what?" Tony asked. "About-Peggy." "Okay. But I'm kind of getting tired of these games. Okay so Peggy, your sweet and beautiful girlfriend, is waiting for you in the US and she's probably hanging out with Pepper." My mouth hung open. "Girlfriend?" I asked in disbelief. "Yeah, you know, the girl you woke up from the ice with?" He asked.

"No I don't. Are you talking about Peggy Carter the founder of SHIELD. Peggy Carter?" I asked. "No she didn't help found SHIELD. She was an agent after you guys came out of the ice. Agent 13." He said. "But Sharon Carters Agent 13." I told him. I was so confused.

"Who? Cap I really think you need to go home. Maybe Peggy can straighten you out." I just sat there in a daze. 'Peggy's alive and...young? How? I won't believe it until I see it.' "I need to go." I said quickly standing up.

"Oh! Where is she by the way?" I asked still not completely in belief. "She lives in the same condominium building as you." He said with a worried look. "What? A condominium?" "Yeah she thought it would be better than a small apartment. You wanted to be with her so you moved next door to her." Tony explained. "So what's the address?" I asked. "Okay? Uh ####Stark Blvd. "Right. Now I remember thanks Tony it must just be the stress." I lied. "No problem Cap. I understand." Then I left.

I got back to the US in New York. I quickly hailed a cab and went to my apparent address. I walked in it was a nice condominium. I went to the desk. "Hi um, is Miss Carter in?" I asked.
"Yes Captain Rogers do you want me tell her your coming up?" The lady asked. "Uh no, I'll just go up." I said. "What floor?" I asked. "8th?are you okay Captain Rogers? "Yes ma'am thank you." I walked to the elevator and hit the button for the 8th floor.

As the elevator went up I started to feel anxiety come over me. 'What if it's her? What will I say? She will think everything's normal, but it's not. And if it's all a dream I'll be upset for loosing her again. Why do these things happen to me?' I thought.

Just then the doors opened I timidly walked out. I went to her door and nocked. I heard heels coming towards the door. 'Please let it be true.' I prayed. The door opened. My eyes widened. "Peggy?"
