Chapter 10: Can It Be For Me...?

I was going to an EXO party. Wow. What's even better is that I can party with Yixing...because Tao knows that I love to party and he'll think that I'm just randomly partying with him.

I wanted to wear something funky and showy, but still look cool. I decided to wear a tight, white, sleeveless turtle-neck dress with long, black boots and curly hair. I usually part my hair but this time I moved it all to the left side. I also wore long, thin, earrings. Since I'm very lazy, I wore my outfit like 5 hours in advance. Then Tao texted me.

" Karrera! Just a question...but will you be able to drink? I remember in previous years, you drank a few cups then passed out...so...are OK now?" Tao is really sweet.

" Yeah. I'll be fine. I won't drink too much," I replied. " Will there be anyone besides EXO-M, EXO-K, and me?"

" Nah. Just for us :)" said Tao. I was somewhat relieved. I didn't want to have anyone else there for some reason. I'm not sure why.

But then I remembered...

Every Saturday night, my friends and I go out somewhere like a club or a cafe. I've been canceling it for the past 3 weeks, and they've been going without me. I really felt bad canceling it again.

" Baes...I'm SO sorry...I can't go out tonight...I'm REALLY busy..." I texted.

" No! You have to! You haven't gone out with us ever since you met Yixing! We've been so supportive over you but you haven't supported us! I can't believe you!" texted Erika.

" No, Erika, it's fine. Why can't you come THIS time?" asked Hannah. She's always been much calmer than Erika. If I told them I was going to a party, they would come along too. And if I turned them down...they would be PISSED. I hate lying. I just HATE it.

" Tao's not busy for once...he wants to go to our favorite restaurant to catch up," I replied. It's not a TOTAL lie, I mean, Tao DOES want to catch up.

" Fine. Whatever. Just don't expect us to have your back 24/7. You need to spend time with your friends TOO you know. We've always been there for you. Tao and Yixing haven't. Just know that," said Erika. She was REALLY mad.

Anyway, I passed the time by reading a book, watching TV, jamming out to music, and watching part of a hockey game. Then, I heard the knock on the door. I opened it.

" Hey Karrer! You look really nice!" said Tao.

" Thanks Tao! You too, of course...Gucci," we both laughed. He took me to his car. It was a red Ferrari. It looked ALMOST as good as my Lamborghini. 

We drove to the dorm and there were lights flashing on the outside and the inside of the dorm. I've been to many clubs and bars, but I've NEVER seen anything like THIS before! Tao escorted me to the front. I didn't know EXO-K, but I had to pretend like I didn't know EXO-M either. We knocked on the door.

Kai opened it. He immediately grew a smile.

" Well, Karrera, go introduce yourself to the guys. I wanna go get something from my room but could take a while..." said Tao. He ran off to his room. Kai closed the door and smiled at me.

" Hi, Karrera! I'm Kai. Nice to meet you!" he said. He seemed really nice. He looked at me then without looking at my hand, he took it and shook it. His eyes didn't come off me. I began to feel a little awkward. " Damn! You look a LOT like Tao."

Why does EVERY EXO MEMBER SAY THAT!? I guess it's a compliment, though, because they think that aside from Kris, Tao's the handsomest.

" Nice to meet you too!" I said.

" Here, how about I go introduce you to D.O.? He can be a little socially awkward..." I slightly chuckled. He joined me and laughed. He took my hand and pulled me to D.O.

God, D.O. IS tiny. I'm literally a head taller than him!

" D.O., this is Karrera, Tao's little sister...the one who's going to be recording with us," said Kai. He was trying to get him to talk. D.O. didn't seem to be happy. Maybe he doesn't want to record with me...

" Nice to meet you!" I said. I took his hand and shook it. Still, that empty, mindless face. Kai saw the torture.

" How about I go introduce you to Suho?" Kai said. He pulled me away from D.O.. I also got to meet Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Sehun. They were all MUCH nicer than D.O.. Once I met them all, I realized that Chanyeol was the nicest to me. Even nicer than Kai. He seemed REALLY happy to see me...for some reason.

" Have you met the guys from EXO-M yet?" asked Chanyeol. I didn't want to say yes.

" No, not yet," I replied. Chanyeol's face was surprised.

" Why not? That's where your brother is! Haven't you visited yet?" he asked with a concerned face.

" He never let me. He's either too busy or doesn't want me to come..." I said.

" Awww....that's a shame. Our family ALWAYS visits, and I know that your is is China. Anyway, go introduce yourself to them. They're really nice...you'll like them. Start with Kris..." Chanyeol pushed me into Kris. Kris dropped his champagne glass. He turned around, and saw it was me. He snarled. He wanted to yell at me but saw that Chanyeol pushed me. Then he realized that I technically haven't MET EXO-M yet, so he went with it, because the Chanyeol and Baekhyun were watching.

" Hi. I'm KRIS," he said. He took my hand and shook it, but squeezed it so hard that it turned red. I looked at him with a digusted face. Then I quickly walked away from Kris to Yixing and Luhan, pretending to meet them for the first time. Yixing wanted to hug me, but I pointed to Chanyeol and Baekhyun who were still watching.

" Hi! I'm Luhan...nice to meet you..." said Luhan. He took my hand and shook it. We both laughed.

" Hey there. I'm Lay, but you can call me Yixing," he also took my hand and shook it. Yixing had this really random serious face. Well, he IS an actor. Next I pretended to go meet Xiumin and Chen just to get Chanyeol and Baekhyun off my shoulders. Once I finished shaking hands with Chen, I looked at the 2 guys and they gave me a thumbs up. I signed it back, and they turned away and started dancing to the booming music that was playing. They had buffets, bars, drinks, loud music, flashing lights...the whole package. This has GOTTA be one of the coolest parties I've ever been to.

I ran back to Yixing. While no one was looking, he gave me a quick hug. It's a party, so talking with a stranger is no biggie. Yixing started to mildly dance with his arms while talking to me.

" Aren't you so happy that you get to record with us!? I am! Every day for 3 weeks, the whole day, with you..." he said. I smiled. He smiled back.

" Yeah. I am. It's always been a dream of mine to record with my idols, and it's happening! And what's even better, is that I also get to record with my boyfriend..." we both smiled. He looked deeply into my eyes. I looked deeply into his. We both stopped dancing and stayed like that for a few seconds. Then it was getting a little awkward, so I looked away and laughed. He broke out of it too, and laughed with me.

" Can you sing?" he asked me.

" I've been in choir every year since 6th grade. I also took private singing lessons. I was asked to train with SM, actually, but my parents declined and told me that I had to go into medical...it's really disappointing seeing what Tao's became now and what I've became. He's rich as hell, famous, performs, has thousands of fans...while I'm still in college, a nobody, and I spend my time studying...but yeah. I can sing" I said. I don't know why I included the comparison of me and Tao. He just looked at me. I could tell he felt bad for me. He gave me a big bear hug, not caring about the others seeing or not. Luckily, they didn't.

Me and Yixing kept talking for a few minutes when I felt a pat on my back. It was Tao.

" I see you and Yixing have became friends!" said Tao. He laughed.

" Nah. I just met him..." I wanted to say more but I saw his hands behind his back. " Wait, what were you getting from your room?"

Tao grew a smile. Yixing stood a little bit back but observed.

I was really wondering what he was hiding. I could tell it was big. Though every time I tried to look he turned the opposite direction.

What was he hiding? Was it for me?
