Chapter 31: Childhood

I woke up in the morning to see Hannah drooling on her pillow. It was 6 in the morning.

I quietly crept out of bed and into the bathroom. I turned on my phone and I saw a text from Yixing. No phone calls. I clicked on it to see what that idiot had to say.

" I swear my life to you that this isn't what you think. That girl, that you saw. She's my cousin. We were best friends when we were kids but she has cancer and I moved away from her so I haven't seen her in many years. She's been like a sister to me my whole life, which is why I was hugging her and kissed her on the cheek. If you do believe me, I'll be waiting for you at the dorm all day. Up until midnight. If you don't believe me...well...I guess I can't date someone who doesn't trust me," he texted. Wow. Was he seriously trying to be the one breaking up with ME!?

I didn't want to believe him...but I put all the puzzle pieces together. And it fit. I just had to believe him. I trust him enough. He texted me again.

" And...if you meet me today...it would mean that you understand what happened. You're my one and only, Karrera. You know me and you know how crazy I am for you. I wouldn't do all those things that I've done with you just to some girl that I would cheat on," he wrote. I was going to tear up. Even after all this, and him waiting outside for hours, he still loves me and wants me. How could I say no to that?

I was about to write back until Hannah woke up and hugged me.

" How are you feeling? OMG what happened to your knee!?" she asked. He pulled out all her drawers to aid me.

" Nothing...happened. But Han, look at these texts..." I said. I gave her my phone and she read the texts. She snarled.

" Hmph. I don't know. Maybe you should play hard-to-get and visit the dorm at 1 in the morning..." she said. She laughed. I pushed her.

" So you're saying that I should forgive him?" I asked. She closed her eyes as she slowly nodded. I smiled and hugged her.

" Thanks bae. You're always there for me," I said. She smiled and hugged me back.

" That's what I'm here for..." she said.

" But, I can't let him waiting. I feel really bad...uh...I'll head over there now..." I said as I exited the door. She smiled and waved.

" Go seduce him..." she said. Sometimes, she's just really boy crazy. I laughed and ignored it.

I started my car and drove over to my house. From there, I would be able to drive to the dorm. I drove there listening to one of EXO's newer songs, " Monster." It's seriously my new favorite song from their new album.

(sorry, just pretend like Luhan, Kris, and Tao were in that song too :( )

By the time I reached the Chinese version of it, I reached the dorm. I knocked on the door, and it was opened by a peek. Someone, I think Chen, looked at me, and yelled.

" Yixing! She's already here!" he yelled. Yup, it was Chen. He opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a smile. " You're so understanding. A regular girlfriend would've not forgiven him. Yixing, really, is lucky to have someone like you."

I blushed.

" Is Tao home?" I asked. Chen closed the door.

" Nope. He's out with that girl. I really don't like her...I know you don't either..." he said. I nodded. Chen really gets me. Chen's a really nice guy.

By then Yixing came running into the room and gave me a heart-felt bear hug.

" Oh thank god you understand!" he said. I peeked at him through his arms which were also wrapped around my eyes. He was smiling his heart out. I slightly hugged him back. Chen smiled. " Can we talk in my room?"

I nodded as he let go of me. We walked towards his room.

" Is Luhan still sleeping?" I asked. He opened the door to see a snoring Luhan with the blanket and his shirt off. Yixing walked up to him and hit his face with a pillow. Luhan woke up.

" Hmm...what...ah?" he said. He opened his eyes and saw us both. He grew a smile. " Karrera! Seriously! You're here!...wow...here lemme get out of your way..."

He said as he awkwardly ran away in his boxers out into the living room. Yixing must've made a huge problem last night. We both laughed and Yixing closed and locked the door. I sat on the edge of his bed and Yixing sat on the edge of Luhan's. We faced each other and both of us sat the same way: hunched with legs apart and elbows touching knees. I sit like a guy.

" Seriously...babe...thank..." he said. I stopped him.

" But why were you out with her like that? At least save the hugging and kissing for home! And you know that now all the media has pictures of you kissing her and everyone's freaking out! You have to be more careful!" I said with a soft voice. I didn't want to wake up Xiumin or Kris, who were still sleeping. He looked at me with guilt.

" Sorry...I...it's just that...she's been on the urge of dying recently...and she's been one of my childhood best friends. She always got me through the toughest situations...and now I have to get her through her cancer. Imagine...someone like Hannah or Erika...having cancer and almost dying...several times. Wouldn't you do the same?" he asked. I could feel his sadness through his words. Wow. I felt so guilty. It was all my fault. I felt my eyes slowly tearing up and Yixing looked at me and hugged my head to his chest. " I'm sorry...I really am sorry...but you understand...right?"

I started to cry.

" I...I...I'm so sorry Yixing!" I cried. He hugged me even harder.

" Oh no, it's not your fault. I wouldn't have been this cool about it if I was you. You...you're really an amazing person Karrera," he said. I smiled and I sniffled. He looked at my face and wiped my tears that were running down my cheeks. When he dried my face, he kissed me on the cheek. " I love you more than anyone, Karrera. Just know that...and know that I would never do such a thing to anyone, ever...especially you."

I smiled and kissed his cheek back.

" Thank you..." I whispered. He smiled and he kissed me on the lips. His tongue really went crazy this time.

After a few seconds we pulled away and he chuckled.

" Have you been practicing your parts for the song? Do you know them well?" he asked me. I smiled and nodded. " Great. 'Cause we're recording today..."

What!?

" WHAT!" I exclaimed. He laughed.

" You didn't know?" he laughed.

" NO! How come no one told me about it!?"

" Haha Karrer..." I slightly pushed him and he laughed. " Let's practice it..."
