"Lo, look who's here!" bulalas ko habang hatak ang lalaking bagong dating. Lolo Jordan looked up and smiled his cheeky smile.
"Rob!" he cried as he stood up and gave Rob a hug.
"Lolo!" ani Rob.
"Good to see you, apo!"
"I wanted to surprise you, lolo." Rob said. "And also, this little girl right here blackmailed me too." aniya pa sabay tawa.
"Hoy pauso ka!" sabi ko sabay hampas sa kanya. Lolo Jordan laughed at sabay pang kinurot ang mga pisngi namin.
"Kayong dalawa talaga... Eh asan sina daddy mo? Are they coming too?" he asked.
"Nako baka po next week pa. I booked a ticket earlier than them kasi eh. Pero dad's planning to take you to Bataan. Para naman daw makapagrelax ka." he smiled.
"Okay apo. Basta kasama ko kayo, I'll go." sagot ni lolo. "Anyway, lolo will go back there na ha? Baka makatulog na si Lolo Angel niyo dun." natawa kami ni Rob at inalalayan na siya ni Clarence pabalik sa table nila nina Lolo Angel.
"Jules, you have to come too. Di ako papayag na wala yung favorite pinsan ko sa outing."
"Oo naman. It's been 8 years since you went home Rob. Teenagers lang tayo nun. Ngayon matatanda na tayo and we have a lot of catching up to do." sabi ko.
"Sobrang dami mong utang na kwento. Lalo na tungkol dun sa ex mong kupal." aniya. Sinimangutan ko siya and he just laughed. "I'm kidding. But you should know that he's an ass for leaving you."
"I know that." tango ko. "Tara. I'll introduce you to my friends." sabi ko pa.
Hinatak ko na siya palabas sa garden at lumapit na kami sa table kung nasan sina Maq, Kenth, Doms at Kate. Pagkakita pa lang sa amin ni Kenth ay nagliwanag agad ang aura niya. Baklang to. Basta gwapo, lakas ng radar eh.
"Guys this is Rob, my cousin. Rob, these are Maqui, Kenth, Doms and Kate." sabi ko. Isa-isang naghi ang mga kaibigan ko amd Rob greeted them all back. "Rob, stay with them first. Magaling ka naman makisama. I just have to talk to the caterer. Okay?"
"Sure thing, Jules." tango niya saka na naupo sa bakanteng upuan malapit kay Maqui. Hinayaan ko na silang makilala ang isa't isa at nagtungo na ako sa may buffet table kung saan andun ang kaibigan namin ni Maq na caterer na si Carissa. She's been our caterer since we started our business and also, their family is also a friend of ours.
"Carissa!" tawag ko. Napalingon siya saka napangiti at lumapit sa akin.
"Hi, Jules!" aniya sabay yakap at beso sa akin. "Buti nakaabot ako before the party started." aniya pa.
"You're just 10 minutes late. Hahaha!" asar ko.
"Blame that to our client. Napakadaming gusto mangyari." irap niya.
"Wait. Huhulaan ko. Ayaw nila lahat ng food?"
"Hindi. Actually okay yung mismong client. They liked the food so much and even requested extra desserts for the party. Kaso ang di ko lang magets yung mood is the dad."
"Dad?"
"Oo girl. San ka makakita na nakikielam yung tatay sa pagpplano ng kasal diba? I mean, magegets ko kung mommy or kapatid ang kasama nung couple kasi diba usually ganun ang set-up? Pero shit! Tatay, Jules! At heto pa, sobrang arogante nung tatay. We served them our bestsellers on the menu and all he said was that they all taste the same. Tapos nakaubos ng isang boteng wine. Argh!" reklamo niya. I couldn't help but laugh at her. Grabe naman kasi yung daddy nung client nila. He doesn't have to be that rude.
