"Hey. May work ka ba next week?" I heard Elmo asked from the other line. It's been months after lolo's death and everything seems to be back to normal. Rob found a job at the hospital near our office. We've been having a lot of events coming and Elmo's been busy with his work himself.
"Yes, Moe. Diba I have to be in Batangas for a wedding?" sagot ko.
"Oo nga pala. I forgot." aniya.
"Bakit?" pagtataka ko.
"I was gonna ask you sana if you want to go to Tagaytay. I missed you baby. It's been weeks since I last saw you."
"Busy ka naman po kasi diba? After JR's wedding, dumami naman work mo. And kami din nagsabay-sabay yung events."
"Yeah. Pero next week kasi free ako eh. Kaya I just thought na baka pwede ka and we can have a vacation." malungkot na sambit niya. Tumingin naman ako sa planner ko and checked my already full schedule. Next Friday, nasa Batangas kami ng team for a celebrity wedding. On Tuesday of that week naman ay pupunta kaming Cebu ni Maqui para bisitahin si Kenth. He's been there for a month already to start his training at his family's business. Dun kasi based ang company ng dad niya at kinailangan niyang sa kanya mismo magtrain before he takes charge at their company here in Manila. Balik pa namin ni Maq is on Thursday. Tapos Saturday naman may pupuntahan kaming medical mission with Rob's work.
"Hey..."
"What?"
"You wanna come with me next Friday?" tanong ko.
"Talaga?" he asked na parang batang tinanong kung gustong magpunta sa Disneyland.
"Yeah. Although I'd be busy that day but atleast magkakasama tayo." sabi ko. I could sense a smile forming on his face already. "What do you think?"
"Of course I'll come with you." sagot niya. "I'm excited to see you again, love. Miss na miss na kita."
"And I missed you too. Kaya uwi ka na from Singapore. Okay?"
"Yes po." he replied.
Elmo went to Singapore 3 weeks ago. Bumisita kasi siya kanila Ate Iara because it's Kuya Eli's death anniversary. Aside from that ay may photoshoot din sila for a magazine dun.
"Moe..."
"Hm?"
"I love you." sabi ko. I rarely tell him these words kasi alam ko namang ramdam niya yun. Gusto ko lang sabihin to ngayon sa kanya kasi gusto kong mapangiti siya.
"I love you too, baby. I love you too." aniya. "Sige na. Baka nakakaistorbo na ko sa work mo. I have to take Theo to his training na din."
"Okay. I'll see you next week?"
"Yes baby. See you next week." sabi niya. We ended the call and I went back to work.
"Tamis mga bes." ani Maqui pagkatapos ko makipag-usap kay Elmo. Tinignan ko silang tatlo at natawa lang naman sila. "Hay namiss ko bigla si bakla. Kung andito yun kanina ka pa binanatan nun."
"Kung andito yun, ubos nanaman pagkain natin." ani Kate. "Ngayon ko lang naexperience hindi makain yung tinago ko sa ref, guys."
"Hahahaha. Lahat talaga sinisi kay Kenneth eno?" tawa naman ni Doms.
"Oh bakit? Totoo namang siya umuubos eh. Hahahaha."
"Baliw ka Katherine." ani Maqui. "Ano J? Kailan uwi ni Elmo?"
"Maybe Monday pa. May last shoot pa sila on Saturday and ipapasyal niya din si Theo bago siya umuwi." sagot ko.
"Tagal pa pala." ani Doms. "Miss mo na Jules?"
