________

Hyejin's POV

"I'll be back," Taehyung reassured me with a smile before leaving me alone in his office.

Letting a sigh escape my mouth, my eyes wandered around the room from one corner to another. Papers and debris' could be found wherever you set your eyes on. What a mess.

Shaking my head in dismay, my foot initiated itself towards the entryway, pacing myself haltingly. Closing the door behind me, I headed to my chamber, sauntering lazily like a tortoise.

For half an hour, all I did was nap. There, snoring peacefully on the soft and bouncy berth of mine.

Usually, when I take a nap, it takes me hours before I wake up. But today, I only slept for 30 minutes.

The blatant wailing noise from, I assumed was TaeHo, was the only sound that just woke me up. Bolting up from the bed as soon as I heard him cry, I dashed towards his crib to only find.......a voice recorder playing crying noises of a baby.

Picking it up with my trembling hands, a drop of sweat rolled down from my forehead. Tightening my grasp on the recorder, I furiously threw it hard on the floor causing it to stop playing.

My eyes gawked open as I hurriedly rushed outside the room, sprinting downstairs to the main floor.

"TAEHO!" I called out as I scurried from one room to another, opening each doors and looking around efficiently, keeping my eyes sharp.

But also, tears started sprawling down my cheeks as I got even more worried and uneasy.

"TaeHo!" I cried, still running around checking every room that there is in the house. "Where are you?"

He wasn't anywhere...but I felt somebody else's presence in the house. I wasn't alone.

The only place that I haven't been to was the smallest room in the very corner of the hallway that's been locked for years. I've only been there once and I couldn't think of a possible way that TaeHo could be there.

Halting at the living room, I started bawling like a baby.

"Aish!" a familiar yet irritated voice complained, interrupting me from my cries. "Why are you so loud? Can you please keep it down?"

Cold chills ran down in my spine as I stopped dead from crying, bringing my chin up to see the person who owned the familiar voice as he walked out of the kitchen.

Lee Seojun.

"Y-you...!" I stuttered, slowly bringing my hand up, pointing my finger at him. "W-what are y-you doing here?"

Raising his hand up in the air, showing me a piece of slice bread, he shrugged. "I'm eating." he boldly replied. "I'm hungry, so I went here in the kitchen. For free foods and snacks." He smirked playfully as he started walking towards me.

"Want some?" he asked, handing out the piece of bread.

Rage boiled up inside me as I slapped his hands away, making the bread fly away from his hands, landing on the ground.

"Ha!" he laughed with no hint of humour. Turning his head around to face me and focusing his eyes on mine, an annoyed feeling flashed in his eyes. "You're wasting food."

"I DONT CARE!" I screamed noisily. "How did you get in here? Where's TaeHo? Where's my son? Where did you bring him?!" I started darting him with numerous questions.
