Divine Complement

Chapter Thirty Three

I was awoken by someone snoring behind me. 

"Ahhh!" I yelled getting up in alarm. Once I realized that it was just Adrian, I calmed down. 

"Do we have to go through this everytime you see a handsome guy asleep next to you?" His morning voice spoke causing my heart to melt. 

"Shutup. And how the hell did I end up on the bed?" I questioned raising my eyebrows. Instead of hearing a reply, the sound of snores filled my ears. I rolled my eyes and went into my purse. There was a white strip of paper at the bottom, so I picked it up and saw that it was a note. 

"Oh shit." I knew that I had to find this mystery person before school was over. 

I unlocked my phone and saw I had a text from an unknown number. 

"Hey, it's Jared, remember?" It read. Ooooooooooo. Jared. Dang, I haven't talked to him or seen him since the last time I dropped Evan off at Jai's house. 

"Oh yeah! I remember you." I replied. Wow, that was lousy. I collected the note and put my phone and the paper in my bag. 

I brushed my teeth and went downstairs making sure not to wake up Adrian. 

"Hey!" Tiffany greeted me in the kitchen. 

"How was sleeping with Mr. Bad Boy?" She questioned opening the fridge and taking out a milk carton. 

"Horrible. I remember sleeping on the floor, and then waking up with him snoring in my ear." I said taking a seat on the counter, taking a cookie from her hand and eating it. 

"He let you sleep on the floor? What a douchebag!" She snarled. 

"Didn't you guys have a thing going on a couple weeks ago?" I asked remembering them hugging in the hallways. 

"Eww. I defiantly would never go out with that baboon. He said that he tried to get this girl to get jealous, but we stopped once he said that it wasn't working. But, he never told me who the girl was." She said truthfully getting up from the chair and making her way up the stairs. 

I followed her upstairs, and into her room. 

"What's the plan for today?" She asked. 

"Well, I just thought about staying home and finishing homework. What about you?" I replied sitting on her bed.

"Wow. You're such a nerd." i rolled my eyes. "And I was going to take my cousin Jai, to the park." She said picking up some clothes on the floor. 

"Wait! You're cousins with Jai Mahoney?" I asked, my eyes widening. 

"Yeah... Why?" She questioned, stopping mid-way, to look at me. 

"That means you're also cousins with Jared." I stated. She nodded and put the clothes away in the bin, and sat next to me. 

"You know them?" I unlocked my phone and saw new message from Jared. 

"Yeah. Jai is Evan's friend." I said smiling and replying to a funny text that he sent me. 

She nodded. "Then ask Evan is he wants to come. Alex, Evan, Jared, and Adrian are coming too. We're gonna have a game. Please come?" She pleaded. 

"Ughhh. Fine." i gave in after a couple minutes of pleading from Tiffany.
