Damien Anastasi is preparing to take over his family's company in just over a month and he just doesn't have any time for love. But as he watches his parents and the rest of his family, happy with the love of their lives, a sudden feeling of envy washes through him. He wants what they have. Someone to come home to. Someone to call home. But he hasn't met a woman who ignites the fire inside him and makes him burn with need and want. Then one night, as he stepped out into the cold night, he sees a woman rummaging through the garbage and something inside of him lit up like fireworks. Hallie Scott has a dark past. One she's running from, but with a 2 year old and a 1 year old in tow, it gets harder and harder for her to keep running. But she knows she has to keep going or he'd find her, and she just can't let that happen. Then one night, as she was rummaging through the garbage, she looks up and a pair of smokey eyes collided with hers.

What happens when two people who come from two different worlds meet? Can they surpass the challenges that may come their way and fight for the burning desire they feel for each other? Or will Hallie's dark past catch up to them and threaten the safe haven they've found with each other?
