Chapter 2

Shalini & Neeraj were enjoying their companionship, it had been a long week of hard work & both of them were in need of this break. They were relaxing near the pool side, sipping on their cocktail when Neeraj initiated a disturbing conversation.

Neeraj, "finally I am glad that we are here, this getaway was much needed for our relationship."

Shalini (taken back), "What makes you say that, you think our relationship is in crisis?" 

Neeraj, "of course not, I mean finally we are here are no one else is around. It's been really long Shalini that we have been this close. Just you & me, no one else around. There was no need for you to react the way you did."

Shalini, "Neeraj, what made me react like that was the very fact that you fail to notice my happiness everyday. Our relationship needs nothing more than what we are & what we give to each other. This getaway is only adding to our happiness. We definitely did not step out to mend anything, because our relationship is perfect, it requires no mending or repair job and if your 'no one else,' was in reference to Dev, then I really can't help to convince you any other way that I am nothing more then his best friend & he needs me, I am all that he has."

Neeraj (upset), "What are you talking about? You had to bring up his name."

Shalini, "yes because you very well were hinting at him."

Neeraj, "you know what? this proves your obsession for him. I think I am done having a conversation with you."

Shalini, "fine, so am I, I am going to the room and don't dare to enter the room unless you have an apology."  

Neeraj said nothing, she left.
