There was a knock on the door, Dev got up & opened the door. It was Pinky:

Pinky, "Dev I am so sorry to bother you but I was really getting bored in my hotel room so I though of checking if you were free."

Dev, "good that you came, come on in dad is home as well."

Dev got her in & his dad met her too, Mr. Sinha was very happy to see her after such long time. It had refreshed his memories of Dev's childhood:

Mr, Sinha, "so Pinky your parents are here too?"

Pinky, "no uncle it is just me, I am here to sell the old family home."

Mr. Sinha, "oh I see, how are your parents?"

Pinky, "they are doing fine uncle, in fact I spoke to them after I met Dev at the hospital, they were really happy to know that I met him & were asking about you as well."

Mr. Sinha, "how nice of them. If you need my help with the house do let me know. I have contacts here who would get you the best deal for your house."

Pinky, "really? That will be a great help."

Mr. Sinha, "very well then, you leave your contact number with Dev, I will ask them to get in touch with you. So you guys talk, I am heading to take a nap. Dev please take care of her, get her some coffee & those snacks you got from Mumbai."

Pinky, "thank you uncle, TC, I will see you soon."

Mr. Sinha, "sure thing."

Dev, "selling off your ancestral home? Looks like you don't want to keep any connection with this place anymore?"

Pinky, "not my idea, in fact I have always been wanting to be back & settle down here but dad has never been in favor."

Dev, "OK, so for how long are you here?"

Pinky, "may be a month or so. I have to take care of this responsibility dad has given me to sell off the house to the right person at the right price. So I am not in a rush."

Dev, "sounds great, come with me to Mumbai. Let's go & give Shalini a surprise."

Pinky, "hmm interesting. When are you leaving?"

Dev, "tomorrow morning."

Pinky, "cool, I will join you."

She left after having a good conversation with Dev, she told him that she was single & that her parents were looking out for an Indian boy to get her married.
