Chapter 26

Rajat took Sangeeta home after she was discharged from the hospital & Dev went to receive his dad at the airport. They drove to Sangeeta's place & Mr. Sinha headed straight to see her while Dev was talking with Rajat.

Dev, "I feel bad that this had to happen, I have told her in the past that I can come all by myself but then she never listens."

Rajat, "Dev this is no one's fault & I am glad that on your birthday you take time out for us. Coming at your place to receive you makes her feel good."

Dev, "yeah I know that, anyways I think now she should rest, I will take dad home in a bit & come see her tomorrow."

Mr. Sinha walked out & thanked Rajat.

Rajat, "Aakash, I am so happy that you came."

Mr. Sinha, "oh I could not stay a minute when Dev informed me about this."

Rajat, "now that you are here, why don't you guys freshen up & stay. Sangeeta will feel great to have you around."

Mr. Sinha, "thank you, in fact Dev your mother wants you to be with her, so you please be here & I will revisit tomorrow. "

Rajat, "Aakash then what is the point in you staying alone, please I insist, after all it is not often that you guys are here. For her sake, please stay back."

Dev, "dad it definitely makes no sense in you staying alone, we will go home tomorrow."

They agreed to stay back, Rajat took them up to the guest room & also made all arrangements for dinner.

Dev, "how was it? Meeting with her after such a long time?"

Mr. Sinha, "can't tell you how happy I was to see her after so many years. Your mom is still so pretty & look at me. (laughing)"

Dev, "you are as handsome as you have always been dad. (with a smile on his face)"

Mr. Sinha, "Rajat is a good man."

Dev, "not even close to how awesome you are."

Mr. Sinha, "son, I love you but I have seen Rajat, known him, he is a great person."

Dev, "dad can we please not talk about him now, I am just waiting for tomorrow for all of this to get over. I am kind of putting up only because of the situation & of course this one day in my life."

Mr. Sinha looked at Dev with an upset face.

Dev, "OK fine I get it, I know after all that you have told me about her I am suppose to be in love with her but it is not that easy for me dad."

Mr. SInha, "so keep on with your put up, because for the time we are here, I don't want your mother to feel low, specially because of you."

Dev, "sure thing dad, now you please rest. All of this must have been very tiring for you."

Mr. Sinha, "yeah son, I want to take a nap."
