Dev was furious right now:

Dev, "Shalini is everything a joke to you? What all have to spoken to Mrs. Mehra?"

Shalini, "Dev there is no reason for you to react in such a way, I had no other option and there is no reason for you to get mad about what I have spoken to her, I will sort that out once I am done talking with you."

Dev, "I don't want to talk to you, don't you get that."

Shalini, "this is not coming from your heart that is why it is not triggering my ego, besides you are the only person in my life from whom I can here this & tolerate. Not even Neeraj for that matter, if he ever says this to me, he dam well knows he will never ever hear from me again."

Dev, "what can I do to make you leave right now?"

Shalini, "look into my eyes & tell me that everything between you & Pinky is alright. I will walk out of the door right now."

Dev was shut, there was no answer with him or the courage to look into Shalini's eyes & lie. He walked away from her. Shalini followed him and kept her hand on his shoulder:

Shalini, "Dev please, you know I can help you. Trust me buddy, I am here for you."

Dev turned around & hugged Shalini, her cried holding her.

Dev, "Shalini, she left me. Her family has already planned to get her married to someone else."

Shalini consoled him, comforted him, "Dev I don't want to judge her right now for I don't even know the circumstances that she was in to take such a decision. The pain you feel right now sweetheart is something no one can take away, it is only you who can decide to do what is better for yourself & for the people who love you. I am not here to convince you to not be sad, all I wanted, the reason why I came here was to hear from you. To tell you that no matter what happens or whatever has happened I am always there for you. With or without her Dev, no one will ever be able to change who you are & the goodness you hold in your heart unless you give up on it. I beg you sweetheart, please don't give up on it." She kissed him on his cheek, hugged him & left.

Before leaving she also went to meet Mrs. Mehra & spoke to her the truth, explaining her why she had to lie. Mrs. Mehra was amazed looking at their friendship & the bond that they shared. She called Dev's dad & told him that everything was fine with Dev, there was nothing to worry about.
