Mac

This week is going ridiculously slow I can't believe it's only Wednesday, I just want it to be Friday and Demi to be here. I'm in 4th period at the moment waiting for the lunch bell to ring, I hate history it's my worst class. Just as I was about to fall asleep I hear the bell ring and I rush to get out before Bronte can get to me, but that would mean I was lucky wouldn't it?

She loops her arm through mine "oh my god, hey Mac, it's been so long I was beginning to miss you!" I smiled and keep walking with her when I notice two of her guys fall in behind us. I groan internally, this was going to hurt. Bronte kept laughing til we were around the corner where she shoved me away from her "Ugh get that fat thing away from me!" the boys quickly grabbed me and threw me against the wall "Kenzie, kenzie, kenzie, you know you can't get away from me. Why don't you do us all a favor and kill yourself? Then we won't have to go through this day after day after day. I mean your dad beats you, you get beat up here, can't you see no one wants you?" Bronte laughed turning to Carly and rolling her eyes.

"How pathetic, even your own dad realizes how worthless you really are" I knew I should ignore her but after what my dad had done I just got so mad "Drop dead Bronte" her head snapped back to me while the two boys snicked. Her eyes darkened and a small smile grew across her face "Get her boys" the boys smirks instantly vanished replaced by hard looks and determination. They each moved forward one on either side of me, my back against the wall I had nowhere to go.

The first hit was the worst, straight to my stomach, winding me completely. I fell to my knees and they both started hitting me, punches to my gut, my arms and my legs first and when I had completely sunk to the ground, lying on my side, they began kicking. The kicks mainly hit me on my back and sides, but one stray kick got my face and I screamed. Panicking the boys stopped and looked at Bronte "C'mon boys let's go, little miss worthless needs to go home and get another beating" Bronte walked off laughing.

...

Finally the end of day Bell, Bronte and her gang had been coming after me every lunch and every day after school, but finally it was Friday and Demi was here already. She told me she'd pick me up from school so I need to hurry before Bronte catches up with me. Demi can't see me getting beaten up, I won't let her. I rush to my locked and stuff my books inside, half running to the front door when I catch a group of four headed straight for me out of the corner of my eye.

Trying to beat them I rush to the door, just as my hand was on the handle the door opens, Bronte and her friends shove me through and crowd around me. "where are you going so fast Kenz, we almost missed you" she smiled at me "nowhere you want to go, what do you want" her smile faded and I realized my mistake in my harsh words "You'll regret that worthless, you don't talk to me like that ever" she slapped me across the face "Make her pay".

The boys started punching and kicking, Tom, the biggest one, kicking my legs out from beneath me. I fell to the floor hard, landing on my hands and knees, one of the boys slammed their foot into my stomach and all I could do was curl into a ball and hope Demi was running late. Tears were streaming down my face as the boys continued to kick at me, my body aching from all the abuse they've been giving throughout the week, I could hear Bronte laughing and telling the boys to give me what I deserve.

"Hey!What are you doing?! Leave her alone!" oh god it was Demi. Bronte and her gang scattered, scared off by Demi's yelling and never being confronted by someone about what they were doing. I slowly picked myself up off the ground and brushed off the dirt clinging to my hoodie. "Hey Dem...good to see you..." she shook her head at me "Why didn't you tell me about this Mac? We've talked about the bullying but why didn't you tell me it had gotten physical?" I sighed and grabbed Demi's arm "c'mon let's at least leave school, we can talk at the hotel okay?" she nodded and led me to her car.
