Mac's POV
"Hey baby! Guess what!?" Demi yelled as she rushed into my room and gave me a quick kiss.
"I don't know mom what?" I grumbled, these sheets were itchy and my drip line was getting in way. I just want to go home.
"Well! First thing is that we can take you home tomorrow! Yay! Second is less exciting because I'm letting you decide. I've realised DEMI and they want me on tour, but I've made it so that you'll come along for the whole thing so we won't be apart" she rushed, smiling her obnoxious smile.
"A tour..." I mumbled.
"Baby we can push it back, I only agreed tentatively and only if you were able to come along" Demi stated, pulling a chair up beside me.
"When would it start..." I questioned, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Not for another two months baby, we have only just started getting it all organised" she replied.
"I suppose...you promise we will get you and me time even on tour?" I was scared to think about what might happen on tour, but at least I would have two months to get on board with it.
"Yes baby I can promise that. How about this; I spend the next month organising it all and then we can pitch it to you and if you're happy we go?" She asked, biting her lip nervously.
"No...I trust you. We will go on tour mom, you'll be great" I smiled, I would always be nervous that she'll go back to ignoring me but I had to do this for her.
Demi squealed and jumped up on me excitedly "Yay! Baby it's gonna be so much fun! Rissa is coming along too! And so will my family, but they can't come to all of it"
"Mom....I want to talk to you about something..." I stuttered, picking the nail polish on my fingers nervously.
"Baby girl what's wrong?" She soothed, grabbing my hand in hers.
"I know you went to treatment...and I don't want that...but maybe I could..." my sentence trailed off as I realised how stupid I sounded. I wasn't sick enough to need help. Lots of people had it worse than me.
"Baby talk to me, you know I'm here" she smiled at me, squeezing my hand.
"I just thought maybeicouldseesomeone" I grumbled, not taking a breath.
"Baby girl, I love you, now try that again and slowly. Just breathe, I promise it'll be okay" she cooed.
I closed my eyes, taking a deep breathe.
When I opened them Demi was looking at me, her brown eyes locked with my own.
"I want to talk to someone...I want to learn to cope better" I whispered, having to look at my hands so I wouldn't see the disappointment on her face.
"Baby girl, do you really mean it?" She spoke.
I nodded slowly, unsure how she was going to react.
I felt her fingers under my chin and she pushed my face up to look at her. Tears were forming in her eyes and she smiled.
"I am so fucking proud of you baby girl" she whispered.
The breath I didn't know I'd been holding came out in a gasp.
"You are?" I breathed.
"Oh baby of course I am, god I know how hard it is to ask for help. Especially professional help. It can be so daunting and I'm so proud of you" Demi smiled, and pulled herself up on to the bed to cuddle.
