Mac
Dallas quickly ran inside to shower while, Demi and Maddie cleaned the water from the bucket and stripped her bed. I cleaned the water from below the stairs and the honey on the banisters. I had just finished wiping the last of the honey off and making sure the surface wasn't sticky anymore when Maddie came and sat on the stairs.
"Hey I was thinking we could set up a fort in the lounge and all watch a movie together and sleep in there, like a camp out?" smiling I winked at Maddie "Hell Yeah that sounds awesome! Where's Demi at, wasn't she with you?" Maddie nodded and rolled her eyes "Yeah she went to shower cause Dally got flour all over her" I giggled and rolled my eyes.
"Alright let's set up and then grab the girls, I'll get blankets and pillows" Maddie smiled at me and gave me a thumbs up "Yeah okay! Just grab all our blankets and pillows from our beds and I'll arrange popcorn, chocolate and drinks!" I smiled but groaned internally, great more crap to put in my body. I nodded and ran upstairs to grab everything.
I dropped the blankets and pillows, only had to go upstairs twice to get the 4 blankets and 8 pillows – look I know 8 might seem excessive but c'mon 2 pillows each. I pulled the coffee table out of the way and shoved the two double size tent mattress's next to each on the floor, I then added mine and Demi's blanket to one and Maddie and Dallas's blankets to another.
I quickly dropped all the pillows on the right beds, not bothering to put them neatly at the top, and ran to the kitchen to find Maddie.
"You do realise the caramel is meant to go on the popcorn right?" Maddie screamed and dropped the spoon she was holding before giving me a glare "You scared the shit out of me, and hey I'm just testing it to make sure it's good enough to put on the popcorn. Do you wanna try?" I giggled at her terrible attempt to justify eating melted caramel and shook my head.
"Unlike you, I don't crave diabetes" I winked before turning on my heel. Just as I headed back towards the lounge I remembered why I was looking for Maddie and so spun and yelled to her "Oh Mads, I'm gonna go grab the girls okay? The lounge is all set up!" I vaguely heard an okay being yelled back at me so I turned and ran up the stairs heading to Dallas's room first, since Demi had showered second.
I knocked lightly on her door "Hey Dallas, it's Mac..." I stood by the door and waited for Dallas to reply.
"Hey Kiddo, what's up?" I jumped and turned around to see Dallas with her door open and small smirk on her face "Hey, sorry, I got distracted trying to listen if Demi was still in the shower. Mads and I set up the lounge and stuff with a fort and food and thought we could all watch a movie and have a mini camp out together?"
I bit my lip expecting her to laugh but instead she shrugged "I was wondering why my blanket and pillows were missing!" she shut quickly grabbed her phone off her bed and headed down stairs, I told her I'd catch up once I'd told Demi the plan.
I headed to the bathroom but stopped when I couldn't hear the shower running and instead went straight past to our bedroom. Not bothering to knock I walked in and found Demi in short and a t shirt drying her hair with her towel "Hey Dems, we are doing a movie camp out in the lounge tonight" she turned and smiled brightly at me.
"C'mere baby girl, how are you holding up, it's been a hectic day what with all the pranks and food" I nodded and sighed, I hated that I had so much fun I had forgotten everything and the hard, empty feeling had faded away but now it was back in full force.
"Yeah I guess; I hadn't really noticed until now. I mean Maddie has tones of snacks downstairs that I don't think I can stomach but I hadn't even thought about dinner" Demi nodded and smiled at me "You've been so different here so bubbly and happy, so energetic. You barely fought me at dinner either, I was; am so proud of you"
